But as for me, my eye will not pity them nor will I spare<n id="1" /> them; I hereby repay them for what they have done.&#8221;<n id="2" />p>

<p class="poetry">Will he then<n id="1" /> continue to fill and empty his throw net?<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">Will he always<n id="3" /> destroy<n id="4" /> nations and spare none?<n id="5" />p>

<t /><p class="bodytext">The <sc>Lordsc> God of their ancestors<n id="1" /> continually warned them through his messengers,<n id="2" /> for he felt compassion for his people and his dwelling place.

<p class="poetry">Because of the anger of the <sc>Lordsc> who commands armies, the land was scorched,<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">and the people became fuel for the fire.<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">People had no compassion on one another.<n id="3" />p>

<p class="poetry">It shatters in pieces like a clay jar,p> <p class="poetry">so shattered to bits that none of it can be salvaged.<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">Among its fragments one cannot find a shard large enough<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">to scoop a hot coal from a fire<n id="3" />p> <p class="poetry">or to skim off water from a cistern.&#8221;<n id="4" />p>

And I will smash them like wine bottles against one another, children and parents alike.<n id="1" /> I will not show any pity, mercy, or compassion. Nothing will keep me from destroying them,&#8217;<n id="2" /> says the <sc>Lordsc>.&#8221;p>
