to the south;<n id="1" /> all the Canaanite territory,<n id="2" /> from Arah<n id="3" /> in the region of Sidon<n id="4" /> to Aphek, as far as Amorite territory;

Whenever the Israelites were strong militarily, they forced the Canaanites to do hard labor, but they never totally conquered them.<n id="1" />p>

When the Canaanites and all who live in the land hear about this, they will turn against us and destroy the very memory of us<n id="1" /> from the earth. What will you do to protect your great reputation?&#8221;<n id="2" />p>
