<p class="poetry">The just <sc>Lordsc> resides<n id="1" /> within her;p> <p class="poetry">he commits no unjust acts.<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">Every morning he reveals<n id="3" /> his justice.p> <p class="poetry">At dawn he appears without fail.<n id="4" />p> <p class="poetry">Yet the unjust know no shame.p>

<p class="poetry">Their wealth will be stolenp> <p class="poetry">and their houses ruined!p> <p class="poetry">They will not live in the houses they have built,p> <p class="poetry">nor will they drink the wine from the vineyards they have planted.p>

<p class="poetry">The Israelites who remain<n id="1" /> will not act deceitfully.p> <p class="poetry">They will not lie,p> <p class="poetry">and a deceitful tongue will not be found in their mouth.p> <p class="poetry">Indeed, they will graze peacefully like sheep<n id="2" /> and lie down;p> <p class="poetry">no one will terrify them.&#8221;p>

<p class="poetry">Her princes<n id="1" /> are as fierce as roaring lions;<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">her rulers<n id="3" /> are as hungry as wolves in the desert,<n id="4" />p> <p class="poetry">who completely devour their prey by morning.<n id="5" />p>

<p class="poetry">At that time I will search through Jerusalem with lamps.p> <p class="poetry">I will punish the people who are entrenched in their sin,<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">those who think to themselves,<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">&#8216;The <sc>Lordsc> neither rewards nor punishes.&#8217;<n id="3" />p>

<p class="poetry">In that day you<n id="1" /> will not be ashamed of all your rebelliousness against me,<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">for then I will remove from your midst those who proudly boast,<n id="3" />p> <p class="poetry">and you will never again be arrogant on my holy hill.p>

<p class="poetry">I thought,<n id="1" /> &#8216;Certainly you will respect<n id="2" /> me!p> <p class="poetry">Now you will accept correction!&#8217;p> <p class="poetry">If she had done so, her home<n id="3" /> would not be destroyed<n id="4" />p> <p class="poetry">by all the punishments I have threatened.<n id="5" />p> <p class="poetry">But they eagerly sinnedp> <p class="poetry">in everything they did.<n id="6" />p>

<p class="poetry">The <sc>Lordsc> has removed the judgment against you;<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">he has turned back your enemy.p> <p class="poetry">Israel&#8217;s king, the <sc>Lordsc>, is in your midst!p> <p class="poetry">You no longer need to fear disaster.p>

<p class="poetry">Neither their silver nor their gold will be able to deliver themp> <p class="poetry">in the day of the <sc>Lordsc>&#8217;s angry judgment.p> <p class="poetry">The whole earth<n id="1" /> will be consumed by his fiery wrath.<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">Indeed,<n id="3" /> he will bring terrifying destruction<n id="4" /> on all who live on the earth.&#8221;<n id="5" />p>
