From there they moved on and camped on the other side of the Arnon, in the wilderness that extends from the regions<n id="1" /> of the Amorites, for Arnon is the border of Moab, between Moab and the Amorites.

And the Moabites were greatly afraid of the people, because they were so numerous. The Moabites were sick with fear because of the Israelites.p>

They traveled from Oboth and camped in Iye-abarim, on the border of Moab.

Then they traveled on from Oboth and camped at Iye Abarim,<n id="1" /> in the wilderness that is before Moab, on the eastern side.<n id="2" />

and the slope of the valleys<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">that extends to the dwelling of Ar,<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">and falls off at the border of Moab.&#8221;p>

and from Bamoth to the valley that is in the country of Moab, near the top of Pisgah, which overlooks the wilderness.<n id="1" />p>

<t /><n id="1" /><p class="bodytext">The Israelites traveled on<n id="2" /> and camped in the plains of Moab on the side of the Jordan River<n id="3" /> across from Jericho.<n id="4" />

Balaam said to God, &#8220;Balak son of Zippor, king of Moab, has sent a message to me, saying,

So the princes of Moab departed<n id="1" /> and went back to Balak and said, &#8220;Balaam refused to come with us.&#8221;p>

So Balaam got up in the morning, saddled his donkey, and went with the princes of Moab.p>

So Moses and Eleazar the priest spoke with them in the plains of Moab, by the Jordan River<n id="1" /> across from Jericho.<n id="2" /> They said,

They traveled from the mountains of Abarim and camped in the plains of Moab by the Jordan River<n id="1" /> across from Jericho.<n id="2" />

They camped by the Jordan, from Beth-jeshimoth as far as Abel-shittim in the plains of Moab.p>

<p class="poetry">For fire went out from Heshbon,p> <p class="poetry">a flame from the city of Sihon.p> <p class="poetry">It has consumed Ar of Moabp> <p class="poetry">and the lords<n id="1" /> of the high places of Arnon.p>

<p class="poetry">Woe to you, Moab.p> <p class="poetry">You are ruined, O people of Chemosh!<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">He has made his sons fugitives,p> <p class="poetry">and his daughters the prisoners of King Sihon of the Amorites.p>
