<p class="bodytext">The sons of Uzziel were Mishael, Elzaphan, and Sithri.p>

As it turned out,<n id="1" /> among these young men<n id="2" /> were some from Judah:<n id="3" /> Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah.<n id="4" />

But the overseer of the court officials renamed them. He gave<n id="1" /> Daniel the name Belteshazzar, Hananiah he named Shadrach, Mishael he named Meshach, and Azariah he named Abednego.<n id="2" />p>

Daniel then spoke to the warden<n id="1" /> whom the overseer of the court officials had appointed over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah:

When the king spoke with them, he did not find among the entire group<n id="1" /> anyone like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, or Azariah. So they entered the king&#8217;s service.<n id="2" />

Moses then called to Mishael and Elzaphan, the sons of Uzziel, Aaron&#8217;s uncle, and said to them, &#8220;Come near, carry your brothers away from the front of the sanctuary to a place outside the camp.&#8221;

<p class="bodytext">Ezra the scribe stood on a towering wooden platform<n id="1" /> constructed for this purpose. Standing near him on his right were Mattithiah, Shema, Anaiah, Uriah, Hilkiah, and Masseiah. On his left were Pedaiah, Mishael, Malkijah, Hashum, Hashbaddanah, Zechariah, and Meshullam.
