<p class="bodytext">The <sc>Lordsc> who rules over all said,p> <p class="poetry">&#8220;I will kill all the archers of Elam,p> <p class="poetry">who are the chief source of her military might.<n id="1" />p>

<p class="poetry">I will establish my sovereignty over Elam.<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">I will destroy their king and their leaders,&#8221;<n id="2" /> says the <sc>Lordsc>.<n id="3" />p>

<p class="poetry">&#8220;Yet in days to comep> <p class="poetry">I will reverse Elam&#8217;s ill fortune.&#8221;<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">says the <sc>Lordsc>.<n id="2" />p>

<p class="poetry">I will cause enemies to blow through Elam from every directionp> <p class="poetry">like the winds blowing in from the four quarters of heaven.p> <p class="poetry">I will scatter the people of Elam to the four winds.p> <p class="poetry">There will not be any nation where the refugees of Elam will not go.<n id="1" />p>

<t /><p class="bodytext">Early in the reign<n id="1" /> of King Zedekiah of Judah, the <sc>Lordsc> spoke to the prophet Jeremiah about Elam.<n id="2" />p>

<p class="poetry">I will make the people of Elam terrified of their enemies,p> <p class="poetry">who are seeking to kill them.p> <p class="poetry">I will vent my fierce angerp> <p class="poetry">and bring disaster upon them,&#8221;<n id="1" /> says the <sc>Lordsc>.<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">&#8220;I will send armies chasing after them<n id="3" />p> <p class="poetry">until I have completely destroyed them.p>
