The prince will not take away any of the people’s inheritance by oppressively removing them from their property. He will give his sons an inheritance from his own possessions so that my people will not be scattered, each from his own property.’”p>

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;As for you, son of man, turn toward<n id="1" /> the daughters of your people who are prophesying from their imagination.<n id="2" /> Prophesy against them

I will bring you into the wilderness of the nations, and there I will enter into judgment with you face to face.

<p class="bodytext">So I spoke to the people in the morning, and my wife died in the evening. In the morning<n id="1" /> I acted just as I was commanded.

Then the people said to me, &#8220;Will you not tell us what these things you are doing mean for us?&#8221;p>

<p class="poetry">When your products went out from the seas,p> <p class="poetry">you satisfied many peoples;p> <p class="poetry">with the abundance of your wealth and merchandisep> <p class="poetry">you enriched the kings of the earth.p>

<p class="poetry">The traders among the peoples hiss at you;p> <p class="poetry">you have become a horror, and will be no more.&#8217;&#8221;p>

<p class="poetry">All who know you among the peoples are shocked at you;p> <p class="poetry">you have become terrified and will be no more.&#8217;&#8221;p>

<p class="poetry">I will disturb<n id="1" /> many peoples,p> <p class="poetry">when I bring about your destruction among the nations,p> <p class="poetry">among countries you do not know.p>

He sees the sword coming against the land, blows the trumpet,<n id="1" /> and warns the people,<n id="2" />

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;Yet your people<n id="1" /> say, &#8216;The behavior<n id="2" /> of the Lord is not right,&#8217;<n id="3" /> when it is their behavior that is not right.

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;&#8216;But you, mountains of Israel, will grow your branches, and bear your fruit for my people Israel; for they will arrive soon.<n id="1" />

Then you will live in the land I gave to your fathers; you will be my people, and I will be your God.<n id="1" />

Then you will know that I am the <sc>Lordsc>, when I open your graves and raise you from your graves, my people.

When your people<n id="1" /> say to you, &#8216;Will you not tell us what these things mean?&#8217;

My dwelling place will be with them; I will be their God, and they will be my people.

All the people of the land will bury them, and it will be a memorial<n id="1" /> for them on the day I magnify myself, declares the sovereign <sc>Lordsc>.

Moreover, they will teach my people the difference between the holy and the common, and show them how to distinguish between the ceremonially unclean and the clean.<n id="1" />p>

All the people of the land will contribute<n id="1" /> to this offering for the prince of Israel.

On that day the prince will provide for himself and for all the people of the land a bull for a sin offering.
