<p class="poetry">Wild oxen will be slaughtered<n id="1" /> along with them,p> <p class="poetry">as well as strong bulls.<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">Their land is drenched with blood,p> <p class="poetry">their soil is covered with fat.p>

<p class="poetry">A wolf will reside<n id="1" /> with a lamb,p> <p class="poetry">and a leopard will lie down with a young goat;p> <p class="poetry">an ox and a young lion will graze together,<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">as a small child leads them along.p>

&#8220;Ask for a confirming sign from the <sc>Lordsc> your God. You can even ask for something miraculous.&#8221;<n id="1" />

<p class="poetry">Devise your strategy, but it will be thwarted!p> <p class="poetry">Issue your orders, but they will not be executed!<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">For God is with us!<n id="2" />p>

<p class="poetry">Moab<n id="1" /> will spread out its hands in the middle of it,<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">just as a swimmer spreads his hands to swim;p> <p class="poetry">the <sc>Lordsc><n id="3" /> will bring down Moab&#8217;s<n id="4" /> pride as it spreads its hands.<n id="5" />p>

<p class="poetry">This also comes from the <sc>Lordsc> who commands armies,p> <p class="poetry">who gives supernatural guidance and imparts great wisdom.<n id="1" />p>

<p class="poetry">The <sc>Lordsc> comes to pronounce judgmentp> <p class="poetry">on the leaders of his people and their officials.p> <p class="poetry">He says,<n id="1" /> &#8220;It is you<n id="2" /> who have ruined<n id="3" /> the vineyard!<n id="4" />p> <p class="poetry">You have stashed in your houses what you have stolen from the poor.<n id="5" />p>

<p class="poetry">Look, I and the sons whom the <sc>Lordsc> has given me<n id="1" /> are reminders and object lessons<n id="2" /> in Israel, sent from the <sc>Lordsc> who commands armies, who lives on Mount Zion.p>

<p class="poetry">Judgment will come from the <sc>Lordsc> who commands armies,<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">accompanied by thunder, earthquake, and a loud noise,p> <p class="poetry">by a strong gale, a windstorm, and a consuming flame of fire.p>

<p class="poetry">&#8220;I thought,p> <p class="poetry">&#8216;I will no longer see the <sc>Lordsc><n id="1" /> in the land of the living,p> <p class="poetry">I will no longer look on humankind with the inhabitants of the world.<n id="2" />p>

<p class="poetry">Don&#8217;t be afraid, for I am with you!p> <p class="poetry">Don&#8217;t be frightened, for I am your God!<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">I strengthen you &#8211;p> <p class="poetry">yes, I help you &#8211;p> <p class="poetry">yes, I uphold you with my saving right hand!<n id="2" />p>

<p class="poetry">For you say,p> <p class="poetry">&#8220;We have made a treaty with death,p> <p class="poetry">with Sheol<n id="1" /> we have made an agreement.<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">When the overwhelming judgment sweeps by<n id="3" />p> <p class="poetry">it will not reach us.p> <p class="poetry">For we have made a lie our refuge,p> <p class="poetry">we have hidden ourselves in a deceitful word.&#8221;<n id="4" />p>

But the chief adviser said, &#8220;My master did not send me to speak these words only to your master and to you.<n id="1" /> His message is also for the men who sit on the wall, for they will eat their own excrement and drink their own urine along with you!&#8221;<n id="2" />p>
