When Pharaoh&#8217;s officials saw her, they praised her to Pharaoh. So Abram&#8217;s wife<n id="1" /> was taken<n id="2" /> into the household of Pharaoh,<n id="3" />

Then Jacob blessed Pharaoh and went out from his presence.<n id="1" />p>

Now Pharaoh&#8217;s cup was in my hand, so I took the grapes, squeezed them into his<n id="1" /> cup, and put the cup in Pharaoh&#8217;s hand.&#8221;<n id="2" />p>

<p class="bodytext">Then Joseph said to Pharaoh, &#8220;Both dreams of Pharaoh have the same meaning.<n id="1" /> God has revealed<n id="2" /> to Pharaoh what he is about to do.<n id="3" />

Joseph replied to Pharaoh, &#8220;It is not within my power,<n id="1" /> but God will speak concerning<n id="2" /> the welfare of Pharaoh.&#8221;<n id="3" />p>

This is just what I told<n id="1" /> Pharaoh: God has shown Pharaoh what he is about to do.

<p class="bodytext">Then Joseph brought in his father Jacob and presented him<n id="1" /> before Pharaoh. Jacob blessed<n id="2" /> Pharaoh.

Moses<n id="1" /> went out<n id="2" /> from Pharaoh and prayed to the <sc>Lordsc>,

<t /><p class="sosspeaker"><b><i>The Lover to His Beloved:i>b>p> <p class="poetry">O my beloved, you are like<n id="1" /> a<n id="2" /> mare<n id="3" />p> <p class="poetry">among Pharaoh&#8217;s stallions.<n id="4" />p>

<p class="bodytext">Then Pharaoh summoned<n id="1" /> Joseph. So they brought him quickly out of the dungeon; he shaved himself, changed his clothes, and came before Pharaoh.

Pharaoh also said to Joseph, &#8220;I am Pharaoh, but without your permission<n id="1" /> no one<n id="2" /> will move his hand or his foot<n id="3" /> in all the land of Egypt.&#8221;

<p class="bodytext">Now Joseph was 30 years old<n id="1" /> when he began serving<n id="2" /> Pharaoh king of Egypt. Joseph was commissioned by<n id="3" /> Pharaoh and was in charge of<n id="4" /> all the land of Egypt.

<p class="bodytext">Now it was reported<n id="1" /> in the household of Pharaoh, &#8220;Joseph&#8217;s brothers have arrived.&#8221; It pleased<n id="2" /> Pharaoh and his servants.

<p class="bodytext">Pharaoh said to Joseph&#8217;s<n id="1" /> brothers, &#8220;What is your occupation?&#8221; They said to Pharaoh, &#8220;Your servants take care of flocks, just as our ancestors did.&#8221;<n id="2" />

<p class="bodytext">Then Moses and Aaron went out from Pharaoh, and Moses cried<n id="1" /> to the <sc>Lordsc> because of<n id="2" /> the frogs that he had brought on<n id="3" /> Pharaoh.

The magicians said<n id="1" /> to Pharaoh, &#8220;It is the finger<n id="2" /> of God!&#8221; But Pharaoh&#8217;s heart remained hard,<n id="3" /> and he did not listen to them, just as the <sc>Lordsc> had predicted.p>

Pharaoh sent representatives to investigate,<n id="1" /> and indeed, not even one of the livestock of Israel had died. But Pharaoh&#8217;s heart remained hard,<n id="2" /> and he did not release the people.p>

I will harden<n id="1" /> Pharaoh&#8217;s heart, and he will chase after them. I will gain honor<n id="2" /> because of Pharaoh and because of all his army, and the Egyptians will know<n id="3" /> that I am the <sc>Lordsc>.&#8221; So this is what they did.<n id="4" />p>

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;Pharaoh will see them and be consoled over all his hordes who were killed by the sword, Pharaoh and all his army, declares the sovereign <sc>Lordsc>.

<p class="bodytext">This advice made sense to Pharaoh and all his officials.<n id="1" />
