<t /><p class="bodytext">Then the <sc>Lordsc> called to Moses and spoke to him<n id="1" /> from the Meeting Tent:<n id="2" />

<t /><p class="bodytext">On the eighth day<n id="1" /> Moses summoned<n id="2" /> Aaron and his sons and the elders of Israel,

<t /><p class="bodytext">&#8220;&#8216;These are the <sc>Lordsc>&#8217;s appointed times, holy assemblies, which you must proclaim at their appointed time.

<t /><p class="bodytext">&#8220;As for the diseased person who has the infection,<n id="1" /> his clothes must be torn, the hair of his head must be unbound, he must cover his mustache,<n id="2" /> and he must call out &#8216;Unclean! Unclean!&#8217;

&#8220;Speak to the Israelites and tell them, &#8216;These are the <sc>Lordsc>&#8217;s appointed times which you must proclaim as holy assemblies &#8211; my appointed times:<n id="1" />p>

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;&#8216;On this very day you must proclaim an assembly; it is to be a holy assembly for you.<n id="1" /> You must not do any regular work. This is a perpetual statute in all the places where you live throughout your generations.<n id="2" />

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;&#8216;These are the appointed times of the <sc>Lordsc> that you must proclaim as holy assemblies to present a gift to the <sc>Lordsc> &#8211; burnt offering, grain offering, sacrifice, and drink offerings,<n id="1" /> each day according to its regulation,<n id="2" />

Moses then called to Mishael and Elzaphan, the sons of Uzziel, Aaron&#8217;s uncle, and said to them, &#8220;Come near, carry your brothers away from the front of the sanctuary to a place outside the camp.&#8221;

So you must consecrate the fiftieth year,<n id="1" /> and you must proclaim a release<n id="2" /> in the land for all its inhabitants. That year will be your jubilee;<n id="3" /> each one of you must return<n id="4" /> to his property and each one of you must return to his clan.
