The angel of the <sc>Lordsc><n id="1" /> appeared<n id="2" /> to him in<n id="3" /> a flame of fire from within a bush.<n id="4" /> He looked<n id="5" /> &#8211; and<n id="6" /> the bush was ablaze with fire, but it was not being consumed!<n id="7" />

You must not kindle a fire<n id="1" /> in any of your homes<n id="2" /> on the Sabbath day.&#8221;<n id="3" />p>

They will eat the meat the same night;<n id="1" /> they will eat it roasted over the fire with bread made without yeast<n id="2" /> and with bitter herbs.

You must leave nothing until morning, but you must burn with fire whatever remains of it until morning.

He did not remove the pillar of cloud by day nor the pillar of fire by night from before the people.<n id="1" />p>

Now the appearance of the glory of the <sc>Lordsc> was like a devouring fire on the top of the mountain in plain view<n id="1" /> of the people.

So I said to them, &#8216;Whoever has gold, break it off.&#8217; So they gave it<n id="1" /> to me, and I threw it into the fire, and this calf came out.&#8221;<n id="2" />p>

Hail fell<n id="1" /> and fire mingled<n id="2" /> with the hail; the hail was so severe<n id="3" /> that there had not been any like it<n id="4" /> in all the land of Egypt since it had become a nation.

Do not eat it raw<n id="1" /> or boiled in water, but roast it over the fire with its head, its legs, and its entrails.

Now the <sc>Lordsc> was going before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead them in the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light,<n id="1" /> so that they could<n id="2" /> travel day or night.<n id="3" />

In the morning watch<n id="1" /> the <sc>Lordsc> looked down<n id="2" /> on the Egyptian army<n id="3" /> through the pillar of fire and cloud, and he threw the Egyptian army<n id="4" /> into a panic.<n id="5" />

Now Mount Sinai was completely covered with smoke because the <sc>Lordsc> had descended on it in fire, and its smoke went up like the smoke of a great furnace,<n id="1" /> and the whole mountain shook<n id="2" /> violently.

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;If a fire breaks out and spreads<n id="1" /> to thorn bushes,<n id="2" /> so that stacked grain or standing grain or the whole field is consumed, the one who started<n id="3" /> the fire must surely make restitution.p>

But the meat of the bull, its skin, and its dung you are to burn up<n id="1" /> outside the camp.<n id="2" /> It is the purification offering.<n id="3" />p>

If any of the meat from the consecration offerings<n id="1" /> or any of the bread is left over<n id="2" /> until morning, then you are to burn up<n id="3" /> what is left over. It must not be eaten,<n id="4" /> because it is holy.p>

For the cloud of the <sc>Lordsc> was on the tabernacle by day, but fire would be<n id="1" /> on it at night, in plain view<n id="2" /> of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.p>

When Moses extended<n id="1" /> his staff toward the sky, the <sc>Lordsc><n id="2" /> sent thunder<n id="3" /> and hail, and fire fell to the earth;<n id="4" /> so the <sc>Lordsc> caused hail to rain down on the land of Egypt.

He took the calf they had made and burned it in the fire, ground it<n id="1" /> to powder, poured it out on the water, and made the Israelites drink it.<n id="2" />p>
