<t /><p class="poetry">The princes of Judah are like those who move boundary markers.p> <p class="poetry">I will pour out my rage on them like a torrential flood!<n id="1" />p>

<p class="poetry">At the celebration<n id="1" /> of their king,<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">his princes become inflamed<n id="3" /> with wine;p> <p class="poetry">they conspire<n id="4" /> with evildoers.p>

<p class="poetry">Even though they have hired lovers among the nations,<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">I will soon gather them together for judgment.<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">Then<n id="3" /> they will begin to waste awayp> <p class="poetry">under the oppression of a mighty king.<n id="4" />p>

For the Israelites<n id="1" /> must live many days without a king or prince, without sacrifice or sacred fertility pillar, without ephod or idols.

<p class="poetry">They turn to Baal;<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">they are like an unreliable bow.p> <p class="poetry">Their leaders will fall by the swordp> <p class="poetry">because their prayers to Baal<n id="2" /> have made me angry.p> <p class="poetry">So people will disdain them in the land of Egypt.<n id="3" />p>

<p class="poetry">Because of all their evil in Gilgal,p> <p class="poetry">I hate them there.p> <p class="poetry">On account of their evil deeds,p> <p class="poetry">I will drive them out of my land.<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">I will no longer love them;p> <p class="poetry">all their rulers are rebels.p>

<p class="poetry">Where<n id="1" /> then is your king,p> <p class="poetry">that he may save you in all your cities?p> <p class="poetry">Where are<n id="2" /> your rulers for whom you asked, saying,p> <p class="poetry">&#8220;Give me a king and princes&#8221;?p>
