<p class="poetry">Indeed, they<n id="1" /> will be ashamed of the sacred treesp> <p class="poetry">you<n id="2" /> find so desirable;p> <p class="poetry">you will be embarrassed because of the sacred orchards<n id="3" />p> <p class="poetry">where you choose to worship.p>

&#8216;Some of your very own descendants whom you father<n id="1" /> will be taken away and will be made eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.&#8217;&#8221;

<p class="poetry">When the news reaches Egypt,p> <p class="poetry">they will be shaken by what has happened to Tyre.<n id="1" />p>

<p class="bodytext">You Israelites! Return to the one against whom you have so blatantly rebelled!<n id="1" />

<p class="bodytext">At that time<n id="1" /> the <sc>Lordsc> will whistle for flies from the distant streams of Egypt and for bees from the land of Assyria.<n id="2" />

<p class="poetry">There will be a highway leading out of Assyriap> <p class="poetry">for the remnant of his people,<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">just as there was for Israel,p> <p class="poetry">when<n id="2" /> they went up from the land of Egypt.p>

<n id="1" /><p class="poetry">The <sc>Lordsc> who commands armies makes this solemn vow:p> <p class="poetry">&#8220;Be sure of this:p> <p class="poetry">Just as I have intended, so it will be;p> <p class="poetry">just as I have planned, it will happen.p>

Were the nations whom my predecessors<n id="1" /> destroyed &#8211; the nations of Gozan, Haran, Rezeph, and the people of Eden in Telassar &#8211; rescued by their gods?<n id="2" />

Isaiah replied,<n id="1" /> &#8220;This is your sign from the <sc>Lordsc> confirming that the <sc>Lordsc> will do what he has said:

Isaiah<n id="1" /> asked, &#8220;What have they seen in your palace?&#8221; Hezekiah replied, &#8220;They have seen everything in my palace. I showed them everything in my treasuries.&#8221;

<p class="poetry">For this is what the <sc>Lordsc> says:p> <p class="poetry">&#8220;For the eunuchs who observe my Sabbathsp> <p class="poetry">and choose what pleases mep> <p class="poetry">and are faithful to<n id="1" /> my covenant,p>

&#8220;For just as the new heavens and the new earth I am about to make will remain standing before me,&#8221; says the <sc>Lordsc>, &#8220;so your descendants and your name will remain.

<p class="poetry">I overpowered kingdoms ruled by idols,<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">whose carved images were more impressive than Jerusalem&#8217;s<n id="2" /> or Samaria&#8217;s.p>

<p class="poetry">You who are far away, listen to what I have done!p> <p class="poetry">You who are close by, recognize my strength!&#8221;p>
