You may have the Sabbath produce<n id="1" /> of the land to eat &#8211; you, your male servant, your female servant, your hired worker, the resident foreigner who stays with you,<n id="2" />

Also you may buy slaves<n id="1" /> from the children of the foreigners who reside with you, and from their families that are<n id="2" /> with you, whom they have fathered in your land, they may become your property.

<t /><p class="bodytext">David ordered the resident foreigners in the land of Israel to be called together. He appointed some of them to be stonecutters to chisel stones for the building of God&#8217;s temple.

You must allot it as an inheritance among yourselves and for the foreigners who reside among you, who have fathered sons among you. You must treat them as native-born among the people of Israel; they will be allotted an inheritance with you among the tribes of Israel.<n id="1" />
