Year after year visitors brought their gifts, which included items of silver, items of gold, clothes, perfume, spices, horses, and mules.<n id="1" />p>

Jeroboam ruled for twenty-two years; then he passed away.<n id="1" /> His son Nadab replaced him as king.p>

<t /><p class="bodytext">In the twenty-seventh year of Asa&#8217;s reign over Judah, Zimri became king over Israel; he ruled for seven days in Tirzah. Zimri&#8217;s revolt took place while the army was deployed<n id="1" /> in Gibbethon, which was in Philistine territory.

<t /><p class="bodytext">Now Rehoboam son of Solomon ruled in Judah. He<n id="1" /> was forty-one years old when he became king and he ruled for seventeen years in Jerusalem,<n id="2" /> the city the <sc>Lordsc> chose from all the tribes of Israel to be his home.<n id="3" /> His mother was an Ammonite woman<n id="4" /> named Naamah.p>

and Solomon supplied Hiram annually with 20,000 cors<n id="1" /> of wheat as provision for his royal court,<n id="2" /> as well as 20,000 baths<n id="3" /> of pure<n id="4" /> olive oil.<n id="5" />
