The four victorious kings<n id="1" /> took all the possessions and food of Sodom and Gomorrah and left.

<p class="bodytext">So the <sc>Lordsc> said, &#8220;The outcry against<n id="1" /> Sodom and Gomorrah is so great and their sin so blatant<n id="2" />

and the borders of Canaan extended<n id="1" /> from Sidon<n id="2" /> all the way to<n id="3" /> Gerar as far as Gaza, and all the way to<n id="4" /> Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, as far as Lasha.

Now the Valley of Siddim was full of tar pits.<n id="1" /> When the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah fled, they fell into them,<n id="2" /> but some survivors<n id="3" /> fled to the hills.<n id="4" />

He looked out toward<n id="1" /> Sodom and Gomorrah and all the land of that region.<n id="2" /> As he did so, he saw the smoke rising up from the land like smoke from a furnace.<n id="3" />p>

<p class="poetry">Edom will be destroyed like Sodom and Gomorrahp> <p class="poetry">and the towns that were around them.p> <p class="poetry">No one will live there.p> <p class="poetry">No human being will settle in it,&#8221;p> <p class="poetry">says the <sc>Lordsc>.p>

The whole land will be covered with brimstone, salt, and burning debris; it will not be planted nor will it sprout or produce grass. It will resemble the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboiim, which the <sc>Lordsc> destroyed in his intense anger.<n id="1" />
