The Philistines asked,<n id="1" /> &#8220;Who did this?&#8221; They were told,<n id="2" /> &#8220;Samson, the Timnite&#8217;s son-in-law, because the Timnite<n id="3" /> took Samson&#8217;s<n id="4" /> bride and gave her to his best man.&#8221; So the Philistines went up and burned her and her father.<n id="5" />

her husband came<n id="1" /> after her, hoping he could convince her to return.<n id="2" /> He brought with him his servant<n id="3" /> and a pair of donkeys. When she brought him into her father&#8217;s house and the girl&#8217;s father saw him, he greeted him warmly.<n id="4" />
