After him<n id="1" /> Hananiah son of Shelemiah, and Hanun, the sixth son of Zalaph, worked on another section. After them Meshullam son of Berechiah worked opposite his quarters.

I gave instructions<n id="1" /> that Shelemiah the priest, Zadok the scribe, and a certain Levite named Pedaiah be put in charge of<n id="2" /> the storerooms, and that Hanan son of Zaccur, the son of Mattaniah, be their assistant,<n id="3" /> for they were regarded as trustworthy. It was then their responsibility to oversee the distribution to their colleagues.<n id="4" />p>
