<p class="poetry">When the foundations<n id="1" /> are destroyed,p> <p class="poetry">what can the godly<n id="2" /> accomplish?&#8221;<n id="3" />p>

<p class="lamhebrew">&#1510; (<i>Tsadei>)p> <p class="poetry">You are just, O <sc>Lordsc>,p> <p class="poetry">and your judgments are fair.p>

<p class="poetry">The <sc>Lordsc> is just;p> <p class="poetry">he cut the ropes of the wicked.&#8221;<n id="1" />p>

<p class="poetry">God is a just judge;p> <p class="poetry">he is angry throughout the day.<n id="1" />p>

<p class="poetry">The <sc>Lordsc> approves of<n id="1" /> the godly,<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">but he<n id="3" /> hates<n id="4" /> the wicked and those who love to do violence.<n id="5" />p>

<p class="poetry">Certainly<n id="1" /> the <sc>Lordsc> is just;<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">he rewards godly deeds;<n id="3" />p> <p class="poetry">the upright will experience his favor.<n id="4" />p>

<p class="poetry">They are absolutely terrified,<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">for God defends the godly.<n id="2" />p>

<p class="poetry">The godly<n id="1" /> face many dangers,<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">but the <sc>Lordsc> saves<n id="3" /> them<n id="4" /> from each one of them.p>

<p class="poetry">Evil people self-destruct;<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">those who hate the godly are punished.<n id="2" />p>

<p class="poetry">The godly speak wise wordsp> <p class="poetry">and promote justice.<n id="1" />p>

<p class="poetry">During his days the godly will flourish;<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">peace will prevail as long as the moon remains in the sky.<n id="2" />p>

<p class="poetry">God says,<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">&#8220;I will bring down all the power of the wicked;p> <p class="poetry">the godly will be victorious.&#8221;<n id="2" />p>

<p class="poetry">The godly<n id="1" /> grow like a palm tree;p> <p class="poetry">they grow high like a cedar in Lebanon.<n id="2" />p>

<p class="poetry">They conspire against<n id="1" /> the blameless,<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">and condemn to death the innocent.<n id="3" />p>

<p class="poetry">For he will never be upended;p> <p class="poetry">others will always remember one who is just.<n id="1" />p>

<p class="poetry">The <sc>Lordsc> is just in all his actions,<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">and exhibits love in all he does.<n id="2" />p>

<p class="poetry">Certainly<n id="1" /> you reward<n id="2" /> the godly,<n id="3" /> <sc>Lordsc>.p> <p class="poetry">Like a shield you protect<n id="4" /> them<n id="5" /> in your good favor.<n id="6" />p>

<p class="poetry">May lying lips be silenced &#8211;p> <p class="poetry">lips<n id="1" /> that speak defiantly against the innocent<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">with arrogance and contempt!p>

<p class="poetry">I was once young, now I am old.p> <p class="poetry">I have never seen a godly man abandoned,p> <p class="poetry">or his children<n id="1" /> forced to search for food.<n id="2" />p>
