If the place he<n id="1" /> chooses to locate his name is too far for you, you may slaughter any of your herd and flock he<n id="2" /> has given you just as I have stipulated; you may eat them in your villages<n id="3" /> just as you wish.

Suppose a Levite comes by his own free will<n id="1" /> from one of your villages, from any part of Israel where he is living,<n id="2" /> to the place the <sc>Lordsc> chooses

So now, promise me this with an oath sworn in the <sc>Lordsc>&#8217;s name.<n id="1" /> Because I have shown allegiance to you, show allegiance to my family.<n id="2" /> Give me a solemn pledge<n id="3" />
