And now you are planning<n id="1" /> to enslave<n id="2" /> the people<n id="3" /> of Judah and Jerusalem. Yet are you not also guilty before the <sc>Lordsc> your God?

For we have been sold<n id="1" /> &#8211; both I and my people &#8211; to destruction and to slaughter and to annihilation! If we had simply been sold as male and female slaves, I would have remained silent, for such distress would not have been sufficient for troubling the king.&#8221;p>

Nations will take them and bring them back to their own place. Then the family of Jacob will make foreigners their servants as they settle in the <sc>Lordsc>&#8217;s land.<n id="1" /> They will make their captors captives and rule over the ones who oppressed them.

But later<n id="1" /> they had changed their minds. They had taken back their male and female slaves that they had freed and forced them to be slaves again.<n id="2" />

Then the <sc>Lordsc> will make you return to Egypt by ship, over a route I said to you that you would never see again. There you will sell yourselves to your enemies as male and female slaves, but no one will buy you.&#8221;p>

But then you turned right around<n id="1" /> and showed that you did not honor me.<n id="2" /> Each of you took back your male and female slaves whom you had freed as they desired, and you forced them to be your slaves again.<n id="3" />
