<p class="poetry">Restore us, O God our deliverer!p> <p class="poetry">Do not be displeased with us!<n id="1" />p>

<p class="poetry">You answer our prayers by performing awesome acts of deliverance,p> <p class="poetry">O God, our savior.<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">All the ends of the earth trust in you,<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">as well as those living across the wide seas.<n id="3" />p>

But some wicked men<n id="1" /> said, &#8220;How can this man save us?&#8221; They despised him and did not even bring him a gift. But Saul said nothing about it.<n id="2" />p>

<p class="poetry">Say this prayer:<n id="1" /> &#8220;Deliver us, O God who delivers us!p> <p class="poetry">Gather us! Rescue us from the nations!p> <p class="poetry">Then we will give thanks<n id="2" /> to your holy name,p> <p class="poetry">and boast about your praiseworthy deeds.&#8221;<n id="3" />p>

<p class="poetry">Help us, O God, our deliverer!p> <p class="poetry">For the sake of your glorious reputation,<n id="1" /> rescue us!p> <p class="poetry">Forgive our sins for the sake of your reputation!<n id="2" />p>

<t /><p class="poetry">Those who go down to Egypt for help are as good as dead,<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">those who rely on war horses,p> <p class="poetry">and trust in Egypt&#8217;s many chariots<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">and in their many, many horsemen.<n id="3" />p> <p class="poetry">But they do not rely on the Holy One of Israel<n id="4" />p> <p class="poetry">and do not seek help from the <sc>Lordsc>.p>

<p class="poetry">Her<n id="1" /> leaders take bribes when they decide legal cases,<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">her priests proclaim rulings for profit,p> <p class="poetry">and her prophets read omens for pay.p> <p class="poetry">Yet they claim to trust<n id="3" /> the <sc>Lordsc> and say,p> <p class="poetry">&#8220;The <sc>Lordsc> is among us.<n id="4" />p> <p class="poetry">Disaster will not overtake<n id="5" /> us!&#8221;p>
