The food you eat will be eight ounces<n id="1" /> a day by weight; you must eat it at fixed<n id="2" /> times.

You must not eat it! You must pour it out on the ground like water.

You may eat it in your villages,<n id="1" /> whether you are ritually impure or clean,<n id="2" /> just as you would eat a gazelle or an ibex.

You are to eat it as a most holy offering; every male may eat it. It will be holy to you.p>

You must not eat it so that it may go well with you and your children after you; you will be doing what is right in the <sc>Lordsc>&#8217;s sight.<n id="1" />

You and your household must eat them annually before the <sc>Lordsc> your God in the place he<n id="1" /> chooses.

You will plant vineyards and cultivate them, but you will not drink wine or gather in grapes, because worms will eat them.

But now, why should we die, because this intense fire will consume us! If we keep hearing the voice of the <sc>Lordsc> our God we will die!

Like you eat the gazelle or ibex, so you may eat these; the ritually impure and pure alike may eat them.

<p class="poetry">Assyria will fall by a sword, but not one human-made;<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">a sword not made by humankind will destroy them.<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">They will run away from this sword<n id="3" />p> <p class="poetry">and their young men will be forced to do hard labor.p>

Only in the presence of the <sc>Lordsc> your God may you eat these, in the place he<n id="1" /> chooses. This applies to you, your son, your daughter, your male and female servants, and the Levites<n id="2" /> in your villages. In that place you will rejoice before the <sc>Lordsc> your God in all the output of your labor.<n id="3" />

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;As for you, take wheat, barley, beans, lentils, millet, and spelt,<n id="1" /> put them in a single container, and make food<n id="2" /> from them for yourself. For the same number of days that you lie on your side &#8211; 390 days<n id="3" /> &#8211; you will eat it.
