When you sacrifice a thanksgiving offering to the Lord, you must sacrifice it so that it is acceptable for your benefit. ¹ 

“‘When you sacrifice a peace offering sacrifice to the Lord, you must sacrifice it so that it is accepted for you. ¹ 

You eat the fat, you clothe yourselves with the wool, you slaughter the choice animals, but you do not feed the sheep!

The Lord made an agreement ¹  with them ²  and instructed them, “You must not worship other gods. Do not bow down to them, serve them, or offer sacrifices to them.

Instead you must worship the Lord, who brought you up from the land of Egypt by his great power and military ability; ¹  bow down to him and offer sacrifices to him.
