<p class="bodytext">&#8220;The Israelites are to observe<n id="1" /> the Passover<n id="2" /> at its appointed time.<n id="3" />

So Moses instructed<n id="1" /> the Israelites to observe<n id="2" /> the Passover.

They slaughtered the Passover lambs and the priests splashed the blood,<n id="1" /> while the Levites skinned the animals.

This Passover was observed in the eighteenth year of Josiah&#8217;s reign.p>

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;You must not offer the blood of my sacrifice with yeast; the sacrifice from the feast of Passover must not remain until the following morning.<n id="1" />p>

You may not sacrifice the Passover in just any of your villages<n id="1" /> that the <sc>Lordsc> your God is giving you,

They ate some of the produce of the land the day after the Passover, including unleavened bread and roasted grain.<n id="1" />

But in the eighteenth year of King Josiah&#8217;s reign, such a Passover of the <sc>Lordsc> was observed in Jerusalem.p>

The king, his officials, and the entire assembly in Jerusalem decided to observe the Passover in the second month.

<t /><p class="bodytext">Josiah observed a Passover festival for the <sc>Lordsc> in Jerusalem.<n id="1" /> They slaughtered the Passover lambs on the fourteenth day of the first month.

Slaughter the Passover lambs, consecrate yourselves, and make preparations for your countrymen to do what the <sc>Lordsc> commanded through Moses.&#8221;<n id="1" />p>

<n id="1" /> The exiles<n id="2" /> observed the Passover on the fourteenth day of the first month.

<p class="bodytext">Then Moses summoned all the elders of Israel, and told them, &#8220;Go and select<n id="1" /> for yourselves a lamb or young goat<n id="2" /> for your families, and kill the Passover animals.<n id="3" />

<t /><n id="1" /><p class="bodytext">The <sc>Lordsc> said to Moses and Aaron, &#8220;This is the ordinance of the Passover. No foreigner may<n id="2" /> share in eating it.<n id="3" />

They must not leave any of it until morning, nor break any of its bones; they must observe it in accordance with every statute of the Passover.p>

<p class="bodytext">So the Israelites camped in Gilgal and celebrated the Passover in the evening of the fourteenth day of the month on the plains of Jericho.<n id="1" />

<p class="bodytext">They slaughtered the Passover lamb on the fourteenth day of the second month. The priests and Levites were ashamed, so they consecrated themselves and brought burnt sacrifices to the <sc>Lordsc>&#8217;s temple.

They cooked the Passover sacrifices over the open fire as prescribed and cooked the consecrated offerings in pots, kettles, and pans. They quickly served them to all the people.

So all the preparations for the <sc>Lordsc>&#8217;s service were made that day, as the Passover was observed and the burnt sacrifices were offered on the altar of the <sc>Lordsc>, as prescribed by King Josiah.

So the Israelites who were present observed the Passover at that time, as well as the Feast of Unleavened Bread for seven days.
