<p class="poetry">&#8220;Can you discover<n id="1" /> the essence<n id="2" /> of God?p> <p class="poetry">Can you find out<n id="3" />p> <p class="poetry">the perfection of the Almighty?<n id="4" />p>

<p class="poetry">for he stretches out his hand against God,<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">and vaunts himself<n id="2" /> against the Almighty,p>

<p class="poetry">They were saying to God, &#8216;Turn away from us,&#8217;p> <p class="poetry">and &#8216;What can the Almighty do to us?&#8217;<n id="1" />p>

<p class="poetry">If you return to the Almighty, you will be built up;<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">if you remove wicked behavior far from your tent,p>

<p class="poetry">Will he find delight<n id="1" /> in the Almighty?p> <p class="poetry">Will he call out to God at all times?p>

<p class="poetry">What then would be one&#8217;s lot from God above,p> <p class="poetry">one&#8217;s heritage from the Almighty<n id="1" /> on high?p>

<p class="poetry">But it is a spirit in people,p> <p class="poetry">the breath<n id="1" /> of the Almighty,p> <p class="poetry">that makes them understand.p>

<p class="poetry">&#8220;Will the one who contends<n id="1" /> with the Almighty correct him?<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">Let the person who accuses God give him an answer!&#8221;p>

<p class="poetry">&#8220;Therefore,<n id="1" /> blessed<n id="2" /> is the man whom God corrects,<n id="3" />p> <p class="poetry">so do not despise the discipline<n id="4" /> of the Almighty.<n id="5" />p>

<p class="poetry">For the arrows<n id="1" /> of the Almighty<n id="2" /> are within me;p> <p class="poetry">my spirit<n id="3" /> drinks their poison;<n id="4" />p> <p class="poetry">God&#8217;s sudden terrors<n id="5" /> are arrayed<n id="6" /> against me.p>

<p class="poetry">But I wish to speak<n id="1" /> to the Almighty,<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">and I desire to argue<n id="3" /> my case<n id="4" /> with God.p>

<p class="poetry">Who is the Almighty, that<n id="1" /> we should serve him?p> <p class="poetry">What would we gainp> <p class="poetry">if we were to pray<n id="2" /> to him?&#8217;<n id="3" />p>

<p class="poetry">Surely then you will delight yourself<n id="1" /> in the Almighty,p> <p class="poetry">and will lift up your face toward God.p>
