<p class="bodytext">Sarah said, &#8220;God has made me laugh.<n id="1" /> Everyone who hears about this<n id="2" /> will laugh<n id="3" /> with me.&#8221;

&#8216;Bring me some wild game and prepare for me some tasty food. Then I will eat<n id="1" /> it and bless you<n id="2" /> in the presence of the <sc>Lordsc><n id="3" /> before I die.&#8217;

So Pharaoh summoned Abram and said, &#8220;What is this<n id="1" /> you have done to me? Why didn&#8217;t you tell me that she was your wife?

Abram added,<n id="1" /> &#8220;Since<n id="2" /> you have not given me a descendant, then look, one born in my house will be my heir!&#8221;<n id="3" />p>

<p class="bodytext">The <sc>Lordsc><n id="1" /> said to him, &#8220;Take for me a heifer, a goat, and a ram, each three years old, along with a dove and a young pigeon.&#8221;

So Sarah laughed to herself, thinking,<n id="1" /> &#8220;After I am worn out will I have pleasure,<n id="2" /> especially when my husband is old too?&#8221;<n id="3" />p>

&#8220;I am a temporary settler<n id="1" /> among you. Grant<n id="2" /> me ownership<n id="3" /> of a burial site among you so that I may<n id="4" /> bury my dead.&#8221;<n id="5" />p>

&#8220;Look,&#8221; said Esau, &#8220;I&#8217;m about to die! What use is the birthright to me?&#8221;<n id="1" />

But Jacob said, &#8220;Swear an oath to me now.&#8221;<n id="1" /> So Esau<n id="2" /> swore an oath to him and sold his birthright<n id="3" /> to Jacob.p>

Therefore, take your weapons &#8211; your quiver and your bow &#8211; and go out into the open fields and hunt down some wild game<n id="1" /> for me.

So his mother told him, &#8220;Any curse against you will fall on me,<n id="1" /> my son! Just obey me!<n id="2" /> Go and get them for me!&#8221;p>

Then his father Isaac said to him, &#8220;Come here and kiss me, my son.&#8221;

and I return safely to my father&#8217;s home,<n id="1" /> then the <sc>Lordsc> will become my God.
