In ¹  past ²  generations he allowed all the nations ³  to go their own ways,

At ¹  that time ²  a great disturbance ³  took place concerning the Way. ⁴ 

Most excellent Felix, ¹  we acknowledge this everywhere and in every way ²  with all gratitude. ³ 

saying, “This man is persuading ¹  people to worship God in a way contrary to ²  the law!”

In this way the word of the Lord ¹  continued to grow in power ²  and to prevail. ³ 

I ¹  persecuted this Way ²  even to the point of death, ³  tying up ⁴  both men and women and putting ⁵  them in prison,

Then Felix, ¹  who understood the facts ²  concerning the Way ³  more accurately, ⁴  adjourned their hearing, ⁵  saying, “When Lysias the commanding officer comes down, I will decide your case.” ⁶ 

She followed behind Paul and us and kept crying out, ¹  “These men are servants ²  of the Most High God, who are proclaiming to you the way ³  of salvation.” ⁴
