He built an extension all around the walls of the temple&#8217;s main hall and holy place and constructed side rooms in it.<n id="1" />

He built a wall 30 feet in from the rear of the temple as a partition for an inner sanctuary that would be the most holy place.<n id="1" /> He paneled the wall with cedar planks from the floor to the rafters.<n id="2" />

Solomon plated the inside of the temple with gold.<n id="1" /> He hung golden chains in front of the inner sanctuary and plated the inner sanctuary<n id="2" /> with gold.

He plated the entire inside of the temple with gold, as well as the altar inside the inner sanctuary.<n id="1" />p>

and set up in it a place for the ark containing the covenant the <sc>Lordsc> made with our ancestors<n id="1" /> when he brought them out of the land of Egypt.&#8221;p>

You have kept your word to your servant, my father David;<n id="1" /> this very day you have fulfilled what you promised.<n id="2" />

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;When someone is accused of sinning against his neighbor and the latter pronounces a curse on the alleged offender before your altar in this temple, be willing to forgive the accused if the accusation is false.<n id="1" />

Listen from heaven and make a just decision about your servants&#8217; claims. Condemn the guilty party, declare the other innocent, and give both of them what they deserve.<n id="1" />p>

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;The time will come when<n id="1" /> your people Israel are defeated by an enemy<n id="2" /> because they sinned against you. If they come back to you, renew their allegiance to you,<n id="3" /> and pray for your help<n id="4" /> in this temple,

May he make us submissive,<n id="1" /> so we can follow all his instructions<n id="2" /> and obey<n id="3" /> the commandments, rules, and regulations he commanded our ancestors.
