You must divide the land by lot for an inheritance among your families. To a larger group you must give a larger inheritance, and to a smaller group you must give a smaller inheritance. Everyone’s inheritance must be in the place where his lot falls. You must inherit according to your ancestral ¹  tribes.

And they were as follows: The descendants of Reuben, the firstborn son of Israel: According to the records of their clans and families, all the males twenty years old or older who could serve in the army were listed by name individually.

From the descendants of Simeon: According to the records of their clans and families, all the males numbered of them ¹  twenty years old or older who could serve in the army were listed by name individually.

All who were numbered of the Levites, whom Moses and Aaron numbered by the word ¹  of the Lord, according to their families, every male from a month old and upward, were 22,000. ² 

but in order that they will live ¹  and not die when they approach the most holy things, do this for them: Aaron and his sons will go in and appoint ²  each man ³  to his service and his responsibility.

For all the people have seen my glory and my signs that I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and yet have tempted ¹  me now these ten times, ²  and have not obeyed me, ³ 

Or if he strikes him with a wooden hand weapon so that he could die, and he dies, he is a murderer. The murderer must surely be put to death.

And you must not accept a ransom for anyone who has fled to a town of refuge, to allow him to return home and live on his own land before the death of the high priest. ¹ 

“Number the Levites by their clans ¹  and their families; every male from a month old and upward you are to number.” ² 

Those of them who were numbered, counting every male from a month old and upward, were 6,200.

from thirty years old and upward to fifty years old, everyone who entered the company for the work in the tent of meeting;

Every man’s holy things ¹  will be his; whatever any man gives the priest will be his.’”

When the Israelites were ¹  in the wilderness they found a man gathering wood on the Sabbath day. ² 

Therefore you and all your company have assembled together against the Lord! And Aaron – what is he that you murmur against him?” ¹ 

You must give it to Eleazar the priest so that he can take it outside the camp, and it must be slaughtered before him. ¹ 

Then the heifer must be burned ¹  in his sight – its skin, its flesh, its blood, and its offal is to be burned. ² 

So they defeated Og, ¹  his sons, and all his people, until there were no survivors, ²  and they possessed his land.

Now therefore, please stay ¹  the night here also, that I may know what more the Lord might say to me.” ²
