and one round flat cake of bread, one perforated cake of oiled bread, and one wafer from the basket of bread made without yeast that is before the <sc>Lordsc>.

You are to put all these<n id="1" /> in Aaron&#8217;s hands<n id="2" /> and in his sons&#8217; hands, and you are to wave them as a wave offering<n id="3" /> before the <sc>Lordsc>.

You are to take the breast of the ram of Aaron&#8217;s consecration; you are to wave it as a wave offering before the <sc>Lordsc>, and it is to be your share.

The second lamb you are to offer around sundown; you are to prepare for it the same meal offering as for the morning and the same drink offering, for a soothing aroma, an offering made by fire to the <sc>Lordsc>.p>

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;This will be a regular<n id="1" /> burnt offering throughout your generations at the entrance of the tent of meeting before the <sc>Lordsc>, where I will meet<n id="2" /> with you to speak to you there.

Aaron is to make atonement on its horns once in the year with some of the blood of the sin offering for atonement;<n id="1" /> once in the year<n id="2" /> he is to make atonement on it throughout your generations. It is most holy to the <sc>Lordsc>.&#8221;<n id="3" />p>

Everyone who crosses over to those who are numbered<n id="1" /> is to pay this: a half shekel<n id="2" /> according to the shekel of the sanctuary<n id="3" /> (a shekel weighs twenty gerahs). The half shekel is to be an offering<n id="4" /> to the <sc>Lordsc>.

The rich are not to increase it,<n id="1" /> and the poor are not to pay less than the half shekel when giving<n id="2" /> the offering of the <sc>Lordsc>, to make atonement<n id="3" /> for your lives.

When they enter<n id="1" /> the tent of meeting, they must wash with<n id="2" /> water so that they do not die.<n id="3" /> Also, when they approach<n id="4" /> the altar to minister by burning incense<n id="5" /> as an offering made by fire<n id="6" /> to the <sc>Lordsc>,

<p class="bodytext">The <sc>Lordsc> said to Moses: &#8220;Take<n id="1" /> spices, gum resin,<n id="2" /> onycha,<n id="3" /> galbanum,<n id="4" /> and pure frankincense<n id="5" /> of equal amounts<n id="6" />

Six days<n id="1" /> work may be done,<n id="2" /> but on the seventh day is a Sabbath of complete rest,<n id="3" /> holy to the <sc>Lordsc>; anyone who does work on the Sabbath day must surely be put to death.

<p class="bodytext">The <sc>Lordsc> spoke to Moses: &#8220;Go quickly, descend,<n id="1" /> because your<n id="2" /> people, whom you brought up from the land of Egypt, have acted corruptly.

<p class="bodytext">Then the <sc>Lordsc> said to Moses: &#8220;I have seen this people.<n id="1" /> Look<n id="2" /> what a stiff-necked people they are!<n id="3" />

So Moses stood at the entrance of the camp and said, &#8220;Whoever is for the <sc>Lordsc>, come<n id="1" /> to me.&#8221;<n id="2" /> All the Levites gathered around him,

Moses said, &#8220;You have been consecrated<n id="1" /> today for the <sc>Lordsc>, for each of you was against his son or against his brother, so he has given a blessing to you today.&#8221;<n id="2" />p>

<p class="bodytext">The next day Moses said to the people,<n id="1" /> &#8220;You have committed a very serious sin,<n id="2" /> but now I will go up to the <sc>Lordsc> &#8211; perhaps I can make atonement<n id="3" /> on behalf of your sin.&#8221;p>

<p class="bodytext">So Moses returned to the <sc>Lordsc> and said, &#8220;Alas, this people has committed a very serious sin,<n id="1" /> and they have made for themselves gods of gold.

<p class="bodytext">The <sc>Lordsc> said to Moses, &#8220;I will do this thing also that you have requested, for you have found favor in my sight, and I know<n id="1" /> you by name.&#8221;p>

After this all the Israelites approached, and he commanded them all that the <sc>Lordsc> had spoken to him on Mount Sinai.

<t /><p class="bodytext">Moses assembled the whole community of the Israelites and said to them, &#8220;These are the things that the <sc>Lordsc> has commanded you to do.<n id="1" />
