For we have all received from his fullness one gracious gift after another.<n id="1" />

So they asked him, &#8220;Then who are you?<n id="1" /> Are you Elijah?&#8221; He said, &#8220;I am not!&#8221;<n id="2" /> &#8220;Are you the Prophet?&#8221;<n id="3" /> He answered, &#8220;No!&#8221;

<t /><p class="bodytext">On the next day Jesus<n id="1" /> wanted to set out for Galilee.<n id="2" /> He<n id="3" /> found Philip and said<n id="4" /> to him, &#8220;Follow me.&#8221;

<p class="bodytext">So then the Jewish leaders<n id="1" /> responded,<n id="2" /> &#8220;What sign can you show us, since you are doing these things?&#8221;<n id="3" />

He did not need anyone to testify about man,<n id="1" /> for he knew what was in man.<n id="2" />p>

Do not be amazed that I said to you, &#8216;You must all<n id="1" /> be born from above.&#8217;<n id="2" />

<t /><p class="bodytext">After this,<n id="1" /> Jesus and his disciples came into Judean territory, and there he spent time with them and was baptizing.

For in this instance the saying is true,<n id="1" /> &#8216;One sows and another reaps.&#8217;

I sent you to reap what you did not work for; others have labored and you have entered into their labor.&#8221;p>

So when the Samaritans came to him, they began asking<n id="1" /> him to stay with them.<n id="2" /> He stayed there two days,

Jesus did this as his second miraculous sign<n id="1" /> when he returned from Judea to Galilee.p>

They asked him, &#8220;Who is the man who said to you, &#8216;Pick up your mat<n id="1" /> and walk&#8217;?&#8221;<n id="2" />

and he has granted the Son<n id="1" /> authority to execute judgment,<n id="2" /> because he is the Son of Man.p>

When Jesus was aware<n id="1" /> that his disciples were complaining<n id="2" /> about this, he said to them, &#8220;Does this cause you to be offended?<n id="3" />

<p class="bodytext">But when his brothers had gone up to the feast, then Jesus<n id="1" /> himself also went up, not openly but in secret.

Hasn&#8217;t Moses given you the law? Yet not one of you keeps<n id="1" /> the law! Why do you want<n id="2" /> to kill me?&#8221;p>

<t /><p class="bodytext">When they heard these words, some of the crowd<n id="1" /> began to say, &#8220;This really<n id="2" /> is the Prophet!&#8221;<n id="3" />

They replied,<n id="1" /> &#8220;You aren&#8217;t from Galilee too, are you?<n id="2" /> Investigate carefully and you will see that no prophet<n id="3" /> comes from Galilee!&#8221;p>

Jesus stood up straight<n id="1" /> and said to her, &#8220;Woman,<n id="2" /> where are they? Did no one condemn you?&#8221;

She replied, &#8220;No one, Lord.&#8221; And Jesus said, &#8220;I do not condemn you either. Go, and from now on do not sin any more.&#8221;]]<n id="1" />p>
