Jesus said, &#8220;I tell you the truth,<n id="1" /> there is no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for my sake and for the sake of the gospel

who will not receive in this age<n id="1" /> a hundred times as much &#8211; homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, fields, all with persecutions<n id="2" /> &#8211; and in the age to come, eternal life.<n id="3" />

The slave replied,<n id="1" /> &#8216;Your brother has returned, and your father has killed the fattened calf<n id="2" /> because he got his son<n id="3" /> back safe and sound.&#8217;

Then<n id="1" /> Jesus<n id="2" /> said to them, &#8220;I tell you the truth,<n id="3" /> there is no one who has left home or wife or brothers<n id="4" /> or parents or children for the sake of God&#8217;s kingdom

So Jesus&#8217; brothers<n id="1" /> advised him, &#8220;Leave here and go to Judea so your disciples may see your miracles that you are performing.<n id="2" />

<p class="bodytext">Now when Mary came to the place where Jesus was and saw him, she fell at his feet and said to him, &#8220;Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.&#8221;

&#8220;Brothers,<n id="1" /> the scripture had to be fulfilled that the Holy Spirit foretold through<n id="2" /> David concerning Judas &#8211; who became the guide for those who arrested Jesus &#8211;

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;Brothers,<n id="1" /> I can speak confidently<n id="2" /> to you about our forefather<n id="3" /> David, that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day.

Moses said, &#8216;<i><b>The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your brothersb>. <b>You must obeyb>i><n id="1" /> <b><i>him in everything he tells youi>b>.<n id="2" />

So he replied,<n id="1" /> &#8220;Brothers and fathers, listen to me. The God of glory appeared to our forefather<n id="2" /> Abraham when he was in Mesopotamia, before he settled in Haran,

The Spirit told me to accompany them without hesitation. These six brothers<n id="1" /> also went with me, and we entered the man&#8217;s house.

He motioned to them<n id="1" /> with his hand to be quiet and then related<n id="2" /> how the Lord had brought<n id="3" /> him out of the prison. He said, &#8220;Tell James and the brothers these things,&#8221; and then he left and went to another place.<n id="4" />p>

After the reading from the law and the prophets,<n id="1" /> the leaders of the synagogue<n id="2" /> sent them a message,<n id="3" /> saying, &#8220;Brothers,<n id="4" /> if you have any message<n id="5" /> of exhortation<n id="6" /> for the people, speak it.&#8221;<n id="7" />

So they were sent on their way by the church, and as they passed through both Phoenicia<n id="1" /> and Samaria, they were relating at length<n id="2" /> the conversion of the Gentiles and bringing great joy<n id="3" /> to all the brothers.

<p class="bodytext">Then the apostles and elders, with the whole church, decided<n id="1" /> to send men chosen from among them, Judas called Barsabbas and Silas,<n id="2" /> leaders among the brothers, to Antioch<n id="3" /> with Paul and Barnabas.

<t /><p class="bodytext">After some days Paul said to Barnabas, &#8220;Let&#8217;s return<n id="1" /> and visit the brothers in every town where we proclaimed the word of the Lord<n id="2" /> to see how they are doing.&#8221;<n id="3" />

<t /><p class="bodytext">Paul, after staying<n id="1" /> many more days in Corinth,<n id="2" /> said farewell to<n id="3" /> the brothers and sailed away to Syria accompanied by<n id="4" /> Priscilla and Aquila.<n id="5" /> He<n id="6" /> had his hair cut off<n id="7" /> at Cenchrea<n id="8" /> because he had made a vow.<n id="9" />

When Apollos<n id="1" /> wanted to cross over to Achaia,<n id="2" /> the brothers encouraged<n id="3" /> him<n id="4" /> and wrote to the disciples to welcome him. When he arrived, he<n id="5" /> assisted greatly those who had believed by grace,

When they heard this, they praised<n id="1" /> God. Then they said to him, &#8220;You see, brother, how many thousands of Jews<n id="2" /> there are who have believed, and they are all ardent observers<n id="3" /> of the law.<n id="4" />

as both the high priest and the whole council of elders<n id="1" /> can testify about me. From them<n id="2" /> I also received<n id="3" /> letters to the brothers in Damascus, and I was on my way<n id="4" /> to make arrests there and bring<n id="5" /> the prisoners<n id="6" /> to Jerusalem<n id="7" /> to be punished.
