See that no one pays back evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good for one another and for all.

For even when we were with you, we used to give you this command: “If anyone is not willing to work, neither should he eat.”

But if anyone does not obey our message through this letter, take note of him and do not associate closely with him, so that he may be ashamed.

But if someone does not provide for his own,<n id="1" /> especially his own family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.p>

If a believing woman<n id="1" /> has widows in her family,<n id="2" /> let her help them. The church should not be burdened, so that it may help the widows who are truly in need.<n id="3" />p>

If someone spreads false teachings<n id="1" /> and does not agree with sound words (that is, those of our Lord Jesus Christ) and with the teaching that accords with godliness,

So if someone cleanses himself of such behavior,<n id="1" /> he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart, useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.

Instead someone testified somewhere:p> <p class="otpoetry">&#8220;<b><i>What is man that you think of himi>b><n id="1" /> <b><i>or the son of man that you care for him?i>b>p>

But exhort one another each day, as long as it is called &#8220;Today,&#8221; that none of you may become hardened by sin&#8217;s deception.

Thus we must make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one may fall by following the same pattern of disobedience.

But if anyone is deficient in wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without reprimand, and it will be given to him.

For if someone merely listens to the message and does not live it out, he is like someone<n id="1" /> who gazes at his own face<n id="2" /> in a mirror.

If someone thinks he is religious yet does not bridle his tongue, and so deceives his heart, his religion is futile.

<t /><p class="bodytext">What good is it, my brothers and sisters,<n id="1" /> if someone claims to have faith but does not have works? Can this kind of faith<n id="2" /> save him?<n id="3" />

For we all stumble<n id="1" /> in many ways. If someone does not stumble<n id="2" /> in what he says,<n id="3" /> he is a perfect individual,<n id="4" /> able to control the entire body as well.

But there is only one who is lawgiver and judge &#8211; the one who is able to save and destroy. On the other hand, who are you to judge your neighbor?<n id="1" />p>

Is anyone among you ill? He should summon the elders of the church, and they should pray for him and anoint<n id="1" /> him with oil in the name of the Lord.

(My little children,<n id="1" /> I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin.<n id="2" />) But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate<n id="3" /> with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous One,<n id="4" />

<p class="bodytext">Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him,

Now who is the person who has conquered the world except the one who believes that<n id="1" /> Jesus is the Son of God?
