because they bring trouble to you by their treachery with which they have deceived<n id="1" /> you in the matter of Peor, and in the matter of Cozbi, the daughter of a prince of Midian,<n id="2" /> their sister, who was killed on the day of the plague that happened as a result of Peor.&#8221;p>

Eliab&#8217;s descendants were Nemuel, Dathan, and Abiram. It was Dathan and Abiram who as leaders of the community rebelled against Moses and Aaron with the followers<n id="1" /> of Korah when they rebelled against the <sc>Lordsc>.

Now the name of Amram&#8217;s wife was Jochebed, daughter of Levi, who was born<n id="1" /> to Levi in Egypt. And to Amram she bore Aaron, Moses, and Miriam their sister.

and if his father has no brothers, then you are to give his inheritance to his relative nearest to him from his family, and he will possess it. This will be for the Israelites a legal requirement,<n id="1" /> as the <sc>Lordsc> commanded Moses.&#8217;&#8221;p>

But if her husband remains completely silent<n id="1" /> about her from day to day, he thus confirms all her vows or all her obligations which she is under; he confirms them because he remained silent about when he heard them.

Everyone&#8217;s inheritance must be in the place where his lot falls. You must inherit according to your ancestral<n id="1" /> tribes.

&#8220;Give these instructions<n id="1" /> to the Israelites, and tell them: &#8216;When you enter Canaan, the land that has been assigned to you as an inheritance,<n id="2" /> the land of Canaan with its borders,

Now if they should be married to one of the men<n id="1" /> from another Israelite tribe, their inheritance would be taken from the inheritance of our fathers and added to the inheritance of the tribe into which they marry.<n id="2" /> As a result, it will be taken from the lot of our inheritance.
