<p class="bodytext">Now Jeroboam had sent some men to ambush the Judahite army from behind.<n id="1" /> The main army was in front of the Judahite army;<n id="2" /> the ambushers were behind it.

The men of Judah turned around and realized they were being attacked from the front and the rear.<n id="1" /> So they cried out for help to the <sc>Lordsc>. The priests blew their trumpets,

<p class="bodytext">The <sc>Lordsc> put fear into all the kingdoms surrounding Judah;<n id="1" /> they did not make war with Jehoshaphat.

All the prophets were prophesying the same, saying, &#8220;Attack Ramoth Gilead! You will succeed; the <sc>Lordsc> will hand it over to the king!&#8221;

Zedekiah son of Kenaanah approached, hit Micaiah on the jaw, and said, &#8220;Which way did the <sc>Lordsc>&#8217;s spirit go when he went from me to speak to you?&#8221;

He told the judges, &#8220;Be careful what you do,<n id="1" /> for you are not judging for men, but for the <sc>Lordsc>, who will be with you when you make judicial decisions.

Respect the <sc>Lordsc> and make careful decisions, for the <sc>Lordsc> our God disapproves of injustice, partiality, and bribery.&#8221;<n id="1" />p>

He followed in his father Asa&#8217;s footsteps and was careful to do what the <sc>Lordsc> approved.<n id="1" />

Jehoiada the priest gave to the officers of the units of hundreds King David&#8217;s spears and shields<n id="1" /> that were kept in God&#8217;s temple.

They plotted against him and by royal decree stoned him to death in the courtyard of the <sc>Lordsc>&#8217;s temple.

The <sc>Lordsc> humiliated<n id="1" /> Judah because of King Ahaz of Israel,<n id="2" /> for he encouraged Judah to sin and was very<n id="3" /> unfaithful to the <sc>Lordsc>.

They were unable to observe it at the regular<n id="1" /> time because not enough priests had consecrated themselves and the people had not assembled in Jerusalem.

In Judah God moved the people to unite and carry out the edict the king and the officers had issued at the <sc>Lordsc>&#8217;s command.<n id="1" />

The priests and Levites got up and pronounced blessings on the people. The <sc>Lordsc> responded favorably to them<n id="1" /> as their prayers reached his holy dwelling place in heaven.p>

Solomon and the entire assembly went to the worship center<n id="1" /> in Gibeon, for the tent where they met God<n id="2" /> was located there, which Moses the <sc>Lordsc>&#8217;s servant had made in the wilderness.

The porch in front of the main hall was 30 feet long, corresponding to the width of the temple,<n id="1" /> and its height was 30 feet.<n id="2" /> He plated the inside with pure gold.
