then you must give over ¹  to the Lord the first offspring of every womb. ²  Every firstling ³  of a beast that you have ⁴  – the males will be the Lord’s. ⁵ 

If you make me an altar of stone, you must not build it ¹  of stones shaped with tools, ²  for if you use your tool on it you have defiled it. ³ 

“I will send my terror ¹  before you, and I will destroy ²  all the people whom you encounter; I will make all your enemies turn their backs ³  to you.

But he did not lay a hand ¹  on the leaders of the Israelites, so they saw God, ²  and they ate and they drank. ³ 

According to all that I am showing you ¹  – the pattern of the tabernacle ²  and the pattern of all its furnishings – you ³  must make it exactly so. ⁴ 

At the two corners ¹  they must be doubled at the lower end and finished together at the top in one ring. So it will be for both.

“You are to make a hanging ¹  for the entrance of the tent of blue, purple, and scarlet yarn and fine twined linen, the work of an embroiderer. ² 

You are to make for the hanging five posts of acacia wood and overlay them with gold, and their hooks will be ¹  gold, and you are to cast five bronze bases for them. ² 

“You are to make the courtyard ¹  of the tabernacle. For the south side ²  there are to be hangings ³  for the courtyard of fine twisted linen, one hundred fifty feet long for one side, ⁴ 

You are to weave ¹  the tunic of fine linen and make the turban of fine linen, and make the sash the work of an embroiderer.

So Aaron said to them, “Break off the gold earrings that are on the ears of your wives, your sons, and your daughters, and bring them to me.” ¹ 

and you then take ¹  his daughters for your sons, and when his daughters prostitute themselves to their gods, they will make your sons prostitute themselves to their gods as well.

Moses assembled the whole community of the Israelites and said to them, “These are the things that the Lord has commanded you to do. ¹ 

and its five posts and their hooks. He overlaid their tops ¹  and their bands with gold, but their five bases were bronze. ² 

He made ¹  an atonement lid of pure gold; its length was three feet nine inches, and its width was two feet three inches.

He made the vessels which were on the table out of pure gold, its ¹  plates, its ladles, its pitchers, and its bowls, to be used in pouring out offerings.

He put the poles into the rings on the sides of the altar, with which to carry it. He made the altar ¹  hollow, out of boards.

For the west side there were ¹  hangings seventy-five feet long, with ²  their ten posts and their ten bases, with the hooks of the posts and their bands of silver.

With it he made the bases for the door of the tent of meeting, the bronze altar, the bronze grating for it, and all the utensils of the altar,

He made the breastpiece, the work of an artistic designer, in the same fashion as the ephod, of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet, and fine twisted linen.
