And if the house is worthy, let your peace come on it, but if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you. ¹ 

“Do ¹  not be afraid of them, for nothing is hidden ²  that will not be revealed, ³  and nothing is secret that will not be made known.

And if I cast out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your sons ¹  cast them ²  out? For this reason they will be your judges.

He replied, ¹  “You have been given ²  the opportunity to know ³  the secrets ⁴  of the kingdom of heaven, but they have not.

When it was full, they pulled it ashore, sat down, and put the good fish into containers and threw the bad away.

And so they took offense at him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his hometown and in his own house.”

Immediately Jesus ¹  made the disciples get into the boat and go ahead of him to the other side, while he dispersed the crowds.

And Jesus answered him, ¹  “You are blessed, Simon son of Jonah, because flesh and blood ²  did not reveal this to you, but my Father in heaven!

and said, “I tell you the truth, ¹  unless you turn around and become like little children, ²  you will never ³  enter the kingdom of heaven!

But if he does not listen, take one or two others with you, so that at the testimony of two or three witnesses every matter may be established. ¹ 

“Which ones?” he asked. Jesus replied, “Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false testimony,

They said to him, ‘Because no one hired us.’ He said to them, ‘You go and work in the vineyard too.’

When ¹  it was evening ²  the owner of the vineyard said to his manager, ‘Call the workers and give the pay ³  starting with the last hired until the first.’

The ¹  crowd scolded ²  them to get them to be quiet. But they shouted even more loudly, “Lord, have mercy on us, ³  Son of David!”

Now there were seven brothers among us. The first one married and died, and since he had no children he left his wife to his brother.

Therefore pay attention to what they tell you and do it. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they teach. ¹ 

And you say, ‘If we had lived in the days of our ancestors, ¹  we would not have participated with them in shedding the blood of the prophets.’

“So when you see the abomination of desolation ¹  – spoken about by Daniel the prophet – standing in the holy place (let the reader understand),

When ¹  he went out to the gateway, another slave girl ²  saw him and said to the people there, “This man was with Jesus the Nazarene.”

and saying, “You who can destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days, save yourself! ¹  If you are God’s Son, come down ²  from the cross!”
