But they were expecting that he was going to swell up ¹  or suddenly drop dead. So after they had waited ²  a long time and had seen ³  nothing unusual happen ⁴  to him, they changed their minds ⁵  and said he was a god. ⁶ 

We went on ahead ¹  to the ship and put out to sea ²  for Assos, ³  intending ⁴  to take Paul aboard there, for he had arranged it this way. ⁵  He ⁶  himself was intending ⁷  to go there by land. ⁸ 

These had gone on ahead ¹  and were waiting for us in Troas. ² 

So he was staying with them, associating openly with them ¹  in Jerusalem, speaking out boldly in the name of the Lord.

Then Festus ¹  replied that Paul was being kept at Caesarea, ²  and he himself intended to go there ³  shortly.

But Saul was trying to destroy ¹  the church; entering one house after another, he dragged off ²  both men and women and put them in prison. ³ 

The commanding officer ¹  took him by the hand, withdrew privately, and asked, “What is it that you want ²  to report to me?”

Then they passed through ¹  Pisidia and came into Pamphylia, ² 

so they passed through ¹  Mysia ²  and went down to Troas. ³ 

We put in ¹  at Syracuse ²  and stayed there three days.

So when they had gathered together, they began to ask him, ¹  “Lord, is this the time when you are restoring the kingdom to Israel?”

Moving on from ¹  Perga, ²  they arrived at Pisidian Antioch, ³  and on the Sabbath day they went into ⁴  the synagogue ⁵  and sat down.

So the lame man ¹  paid attention to them, expecting to receive something from them.

You don’t want to kill me the way you killed the Egyptian yesterday, do you?’ ¹ 

We found ¹  a ship crossing over to Phoenicia, ²  went aboard, ³  and put out to sea. ⁴ 

When he saw Peter and John about to go into the temple courts, ¹  he asked them for money. ² 

and was returning home, sitting ¹  in his chariot, reading ²  the prophet Isaiah.

Now ¹  as Peter was traveling around from place to place, ²  he also came down to the saints who lived in Lydda. ³ 

Then, after they had fasted ¹  and ²  prayed and placed their hands ³  on them, they sent them off.

I will rescue ¹  you from your own people ²  and from the Gentiles, to whom ³  I am sending you
