Therefore, remember what you received and heard,<n id="1" /> and obey it,<n id="2" /> and repent. If you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will never<n id="3" /> know at what hour I will come against<n id="4" /> you.

Listen!<n id="1" /> I am standing at the door and knocking! If anyone hears my voice and opens the door I will come into his home<n id="2" /> and share a meal with him, and he with me.

<p class="bodytext">Then<n id="1" /> I looked and heard the voice of many angels in a circle around the throne, as well as the living creatures and the elders. Their<n id="2" /> number was ten thousand times ten thousand<n id="3" /> &#8211; thousands times thousands &#8211;

<t /><p class="bodytext">I looked on when the Lamb opened one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures saying with a thunderous voice,<n id="1" /> &#8220;Come!&#8221;<n id="2" />

<p class="bodytext">Then<n id="1" /> when the Lamb opened the third seal I heard the third living creature saying, &#8220;Come!&#8221; So<n id="2" /> I looked,<n id="3" /> and here came<n id="4" /> a black horse! The<n id="5" /> one who rode it<n id="6" /> had a balance scale<n id="7" /> in his hand.

Then<n id="1" /> I heard something like a voice from among the four living creatures saying, &#8220;A quart<n id="2" /> of wheat will cost a day&#8217;s pay<n id="3" /> and three quarts of barley will cost a day&#8217;s pay. But<n id="4" /> do not damage the olive oil and the wine!&#8221;p>

Then<n id="1" /> I looked, and I heard an<n id="2" /> eagle<n id="3" /> flying directly overhead,<n id="4" /> proclaiming with a loud voice, &#8220;Woe! Woe! Woe to those who live on the earth because of the remaining sounds of the trumpets of the three angels who are about to blow them!&#8221;<n id="5" />p>

When the seven thunders spoke, I was preparing to write, but<n id="1" /> just then<n id="2" /> I heard a voice from heaven say, &#8220;Seal up what the seven thunders spoke and do not write it down.&#8221;

Then<n id="1" /> they<n id="2" /> heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them: &#8220;Come up here!&#8221; So the two prophets<n id="3" /> went up to heaven in a cloud while<n id="4" /> their enemies stared at them.

<t /><p class="bodytext">Then<n id="1" /> I heard a loud voice from the temple declaring to the seven angels: &#8220;Go and pour out on the earth the seven bowls containing God&#8217;s wrath.&#8221;<n id="2" />

<p class="bodytext">Then<n id="1" /> I heard another voice from heaven saying, &#8220;Come out of her, my people, so you will not take part in her sins and so you will not receive her plagues,

<t /><p class="bodytext">Then<n id="1" /> I heard what sounded like the voice of a vast throng, like the roar of many waters and like loud crashes of thunder. They were shouting:<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">&#8220;Hallelujah!p> <p class="poetry">For the Lord our God,<n id="3" /> the All-Powerful,<n id="4" /> reigns!p>

And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying: &#8220;Look! The residence<n id="1" /> of God is among human beings.<n id="2" /> He<n id="3" /> will live among them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them.<n id="4" />

And the Spirit and the bride say, &#8220;Come!&#8221; And let the one who hears say: &#8220;Come!&#8221; And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wants it take the water of life free of charge.p>

<p class="bodytext">I testify to the one who hears the words of the prophecy contained in this book: If anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described<n id="1" /> in this book.

The one who has an ear had better hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who conquers,<n id="1" /> I will give him some of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white<n id="2" /> stone,<n id="3" /> and on that stone will be written a new name that no one can understand<n id="4" /> except the one who receives it.&#8217;p>

<t /><p class="bodytext">After these things I looked, and there was<n id="1" /> a door standing open in heaven!<n id="2" /> And the first voice I had heard speaking to me<n id="3" /> like a trumpet<n id="4" /> said: &#8220;Come up here so that<n id="5" /> I can show you what must happen after these things.&#8221;

<p class="bodytext">Then<n id="1" /> I heard every creature &#8211; in heaven, on earth, under the earth, in the sea, and all that is in them &#8211; singing:<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">&#8220;To the one seated on the throne and to the Lambp> <p class="poetry">be praise, honor, glory, and ruling power<n id="3" /> forever and ever!&#8221;p>

The rest of humanity, who had not been killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, so that they did not stop worshiping demons and idols made<n id="1" /> of gold, silver,<n id="2" /> bronze, stone, and wood &#8211; idols that cannot see or hear or walk about.

Then<n id="1" /> the voice I had heard from heaven began to speak<n id="2" /> to me<n id="3" /> again,<n id="4" /> &#8220;Go and take the open<n id="5" /> scroll in the hand of the angel who is standing on the sea and on the land.&#8221;
