because the husband is the head of the wife as also Christ is the head of the church &#8211; he himself being the savior of the body.

But as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.

And take <i>the helmet of salvationi><n id="1" /> and the sword<n id="2" /> of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

so that we, who were the first to set our hope<n id="1" /> on Christ,<n id="2" /> would be to the praise of his glory.

For he is our peace, the one who made both groups into one<n id="1" /> and who destroyed the middle wall of partition, the hostility,

To me &#8211; less than the least of all the saints<n id="1" /> &#8211; this grace was given,<n id="2" /> to proclaim to the Gentiles the unfathomable riches of Christ

and thus to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled up to<n id="1" /> all the fullness of God.p>

to him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.p>

So<n id="1" /> we are no longer to be children, tossed back and forth by waves and carried about by every wind of teaching by the trickery of people who craftily carry out their deceitful schemes.<n id="2" />

In the same way<n id="1" /> husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.
