For in those days there will be suffering<n id="1" /> unlike anything that has happened<n id="2" /> from the beginning of the creation that God created until now, or ever will happen.

So<n id="1" /> the Pharisees<n id="2" /> said to him, &#8220;Look, why are they doing what is against the law on the Sabbath?&#8221;

Then<n id="1" /> he said to them, &#8220;The Sabbath was made for people,<n id="2" /> not people for the Sabbath.

And if Satan rises against himself and is divided, he is not able to stand and his end has come.

<p class="bodytext">He said to them, &#8220;Don&#8217;t you understand this parable? Then<n id="1" /> how will you understand any parable?

For nothing is hidden except to be revealed,<n id="1" /> and nothing concealed except to be brought to light.

For whoever has will be given more, but<n id="1" /> whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him.&#8221;<n id="2" />p>

He did not speak to them without a parable. But privately he explained everything to his own disciples.p>

When he entered he said to them, &#8220;Why are you distressed and weeping? The child is not dead but asleep.&#8221;

He was not able to do a miracle there, except to lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them.

For John had repeatedly told<n id="1" /> Herod, &#8220;It is not lawful for you to have your brother&#8217;s wife.&#8221;<n id="2" />

So Herodias nursed a grudge against him and wanted to kill him. But<n id="1" /> she could not

Although it grieved the king deeply,<n id="1" /> he did not want to reject her request because of his oath and his guests.

&#8220;I have compassion on the crowd, because they have already been here with me three days, and they have nothing to eat.

<t /><p class="bodytext">Now<n id="1" /> they had forgotten to take bread, except for one loaf they had with them in the boat.

They discussed with one another, saying, &#8220;If we say, &#8216;From heaven,&#8217; he will say, &#8216;Then why did you not believe him?&#8217;
