So also it is written, “The first man, Adam, became a living person”; ¹  the last Adam became a life-giving spirit.

With regard to the collection for the saints, please follow the directions that I gave to the churches of Galatia: ¹ 

For who among men knows the things of a man except the man’s spirit within him? So too, no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.

If anyone thinks he is acting inappropriately toward his virgin, ¹  if she is past the bloom of youth ²  and it seems necessary, he should do what he wishes; he does not sin. Let them marry.

But I have not used any of these rights. And I am not writing these things so that something will be done for me. ¹  In fact, it would be better for me to die than – no one will deprive me of my reason for boasting! ² 

For just as the body is one and yet has many members, and all the members of the body – though many – are one body, so too is Christ.

The secrets of his heart are disclosed, and in this way he will fall down with his face to the ground and worship God, declaring, “God is really among you.”
