This is the Moses who said to the Israelites,<n id="1" /> &#8216;<b><i>God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your brothersi>b>.&#8217;<n id="2" />

He gave<n id="1" /> her his hand and helped her get up. Then he called<n id="2" /> the saints and widows and presented her alive.

So Peter<n id="1" /> invited them in and entertained them as guests.p> <p class="bodytext">On the next day he got up and set out<n id="2" /> with them, and some of the brothers from Joppa<n id="3" /> accompanied him.

So Paul stood up,<n id="1" /> gestured<n id="2" /> with his hand and said,p> <p class="bodytext">&#8220;Men of Israel,<n id="3" /> and you Gentiles who fear God,<n id="4" /> listen:

And we proclaim to you the good news about the promise to our ancestors,<n id="1" />

But regarding the fact that he has raised Jesus<n id="1" /> from the dead, never<n id="2" /> again to be<n id="3" /> in a state of decay, God<n id="4" /> has spoken in this way: &#8216;<b><i>I will give youi>b><n id="5" /> <b><i>the holy and trustworthy promisesi>b><n id="6" /> <b><i>made to Davidi>b>.&#8217;<n id="7" />

But after the disciples had surrounded him, he got up and went back<n id="1" /> into the city. On<n id="2" /> the next day he left with Barnabas for Derbe.<n id="3" />p>

Moses said, &#8216;<i><b>The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your brothersb>. <b>You must obeyb>i><n id="1" /> <b><i>him in everything he tells youi>b>.<n id="2" />

For some time ago<n id="1" /> Theudas rose up, claiming to be somebody, and about four hundred men joined him. He<n id="2" /> was killed, and all who followed him were dispersed and nothing came of it.<n id="3" />

After him Judas the Galilean arose in the days of the census,<n id="1" /> and incited people to follow him in revolt.<n id="2" /> He too was killed, and all who followed him were scattered.

<t /><p class="bodytext">Then an angel of the Lord<n id="1" /> said to Philip,<n id="2" /> &#8220;Get up and go south<n id="3" /> on the road that goes down from Jerusalem<n id="4" /> to Gaza.&#8221; (This is a desert<n id="5" /> road.)<n id="6" />

So<n id="1" /> he got up<n id="2" /> and went. There<n id="3" /> he met<n id="4" /> an Ethiopian eunuch,<n id="5" /> a court official of Candace,<n id="6" /> queen of the Ethiopians, who was in charge of all her treasury. He<n id="7" /> had come to Jerusalem to worship,<n id="8" />

Then the Lord told him, &#8220;Get up and go to the street called &#8216;Straight,&#8217;<n id="1" /> and at Judas&#8217; house look for a man from Tarsus named Saul. For he is praying,

But Peter sent them all outside,<n id="1" /> knelt down,<n id="2" /> and prayed. Turning<n id="3" /> to the body, he said, &#8220;Tabitha, get up.&#8221; Then she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter, she sat up.<n id="4" />

not by all the people, but by us, the witnesses God had already chosen,<n id="1" /> who ate and drank<n id="2" /> with him after he rose from the dead.

One of them, named Agabus, got up<n id="1" /> and predicted<n id="2" /> by the Spirit that a severe<n id="3" /> famine<n id="4" /> was about to come over the whole inhabited world.<n id="5" /> (This<n id="6" /> took place during the reign of Claudius.)<n id="7" />

explaining and demonstrating<n id="1" /> that the Christ<n id="2" /> had to suffer and to rise from the dead,<n id="3" /> saying,<n id="4" /> &#8220;This Jesus I am proclaiming to you is the Christ.&#8221;<n id="5" />

because he has set<n id="1" /> a day on which he is going to judge the world<n id="2" /> in righteousness, by a man whom he designated,<n id="3" /> having provided proof to everyone by raising<n id="4" /> him from the dead.&#8221;p>

So I asked,<n id="1" /> &#8216;What should I do, Lord?&#8217; The Lord said to me, &#8216;Get up<n id="2" /> and go to Damascus; there you will be told about everything<n id="3" /> that you have been designated<n id="4" /> to do.&#8217;

There was a great commotion,<n id="1" /> and some experts in the law<n id="2" /> from the party of the Pharisees stood up<n id="3" /> and protested strongly,<n id="4" /> &#8220;We find nothing wrong<n id="5" /> with this man. What if a spirit or an angel has spoken to him?&#8221;
