Beware<n id="1" /> of people, because they will hand you over to councils<n id="2" /> and flog<n id="3" /> you in their synagogues.<n id="4" />

<t /><p class="bodytext">Then some of the experts in the law<n id="1" /> along with some Pharisees<n id="2" /> answered him,<n id="3" /> &#8220;Teacher, we want to see a sign<n id="4" /> from you.&#8221;

&#8220;Watch out,&#8221; Jesus said to them, &#8220;beware of the yeast of the Pharisees<n id="1" /> and Sadducees.&#8221;<n id="2" />

After he said, &#8220;From foreigners,&#8221; Jesus said to him, &#8220;Then the sons<n id="1" /> are free.

And the crowds were saying, &#8220;This is the prophet Jesus, from Nazareth<n id="1" /> in Galilee.&#8221;p>

<t /><p class="bodytext">Now<n id="1" /> when it was evening, there came a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph, who was also a disciple of Jesus.<n id="2" />

So<n id="1" /> they left the tomb quickly, with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples.

He said, &#8220;Yes.&#8221; When Peter came into the house, Jesus spoke to him first,<n id="1" /> &#8220;What do you think, Simon? From whom do earthly kings collect tolls or taxes &#8211; from their sons<n id="2" /> or from foreigners?&#8221;

She will give birth to a son and you will name him<n id="1" /> Jesus,<n id="2" /> because he will save his people from their sins.&#8221;

When Joseph awoke from sleep he did what the angel of the Lord<n id="1" /> told him. He took his wife,

Then<n id="1" /> the entire town<n id="2" /> came out to meet Jesus. And when they saw him, they begged him to leave their region.p>

No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment, because the patch will pull away from the garment and the tear will be worse.

From<n id="1" /> the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven has suffered violence, and forceful people lay hold of it.<n id="2" />

<t /><p class="bodytext">&#8220;When<n id="1" /> an unclean spirit<n id="2" /> goes out of a person,<n id="3" /> it passes through waterless places<n id="4" /> looking for rest but<n id="5" /> does not find it.

<t /><p class="bodytext">Now when Jesus heard this he went away from there privately in a boat to an isolated place. But when the crowd heard about it,<n id="1" /> they followed him on foot from the towns.<n id="2" />

Meanwhile the boat, already far from land,<n id="1" /> was taking a beating from the waves because the wind was against it.

When<n id="1" /> the disciples saw him walking on the water<n id="2" /> they were terrified and said, &#8220;It&#8217;s a ghost!&#8221; and cried out with fear.
