And just as Jesus<n id="1" /> was coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens<n id="2" /> splitting apart and the Spirit descending on him like a dove.<n id="3" />

The woman was a Greek, of Syrophoenician origin. She<n id="1" /> asked him to cast the demon out of her daughter.

<t /><p class="bodytext">Then<n id="1" /> Jesus<n id="2" /> went out again from the region of Tyre<n id="3" /> and came through Sidon<n id="4" /> to the Sea of Galilee in the region of the Decapolis.<n id="5" />

Then<n id="1" /> a cloud<n id="2" /> overshadowed them,<n id="3" /> and a voice came from the cloud, &#8220;This is my one dear Son.<n id="4" /> Listen to him!&#8221;<n id="5" />

A member of the crowd said to him, &#8220;Teacher, I brought you my son, who is possessed by a spirit that makes him mute.

Jesus<n id="1" /> asked his father, &#8220;How long has this been happening to him?&#8221; And he said, &#8220;From childhood.

They said to him, &#8220;Permit one of us to sit at your right hand and the other at your left in your glory.&#8221;

He said to it,<n id="1" /> &#8220;May no one ever eat fruit from you again.&#8221; And his disciples heard it.<n id="2" />p>

<t /><p class="bodytext">Now<n id="1" /> as Jesus<n id="2" /> was going out of the temple courts, one of his disciples said to him, &#8220;Teacher, look at these tremendous stones and buildings!&#8221;<n id="3" />

Then he will send angels and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of heaven.<n id="1" />p>

After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.

<t /><p class="bodytext">Now<n id="1" /> King Herod<n id="2" /> heard this, for Jesus&#8217;<n id="3" /> name had become known. Some<n id="4" /> were saying, &#8220;John the baptizer<n id="5" /> has been raised from the dead, and because of this, miraculous powers are at work in him.&#8221;

There is nothing outside of a person that can defile him by going into him. Rather, it is what comes out of a person that defiles him.&#8221;p>

David himself, by the Holy Spirit, said,p> <p class="otpoetry">&#8216;<b><i>The Lord said to my lord,i>b><n id="1" />p> <p class="otpoetry">&#8220;<b><i>Sit at my right hand,i>b>p> <p class="otpoetry"><i><b>until I put your enemies under your feetb>.i>&#8221;&#8217;<n id="2" />p>

I tell you the truth,<n id="1" /> I will no longer drink of the fruit<n id="2" /> of the vine until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God.&#8221;

&#8220;I am,&#8221; said Jesus, &#8220;and you will see <i>the Son of Man sitting at the right handi><n id="1" /> of the Power<n id="2" /> and <i>coming with the clouds of heaveni>.&#8221;<n id="3" />

Immediately a rooster<n id="1" /> crowed a second time. Then<n id="2" /> Peter remembered what Jesus had said to him: &#8220;Before a rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times.&#8221; And he broke down and wept.<n id="3" />p>

After Joseph<n id="1" /> bought a linen cloth<n id="2" /> and took down the body, he wrapped it in the linen and placed it in a tomb cut out of the rock.<n id="3" /> Then<n id="4" /> he rolled a stone across the entrance<n id="5" /> of the tomb.

Then he appeared to the eleven themselves, while they were eating, and he rebuked them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen him resurrected.
