If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all people.<n id="1" />

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.p>

Let each of us please his neighbor for his good to build him up.

And he received the sign of circumcision as a seal of the righteousness that he had by faith while he was still uncircumcised,<n id="1" /> so that he would become<n id="2" /> the father of all those who believe but have never been circumcised,<n id="3" /> that they too could have righteousness credited to them.

Your obedience is known to all and thus I rejoice over you. But I want you to be wise in what is good and innocent in what is evil.

For I long to see you, so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift<n id="1" /> to strengthen you,

because what can be known about God is plain to them,<n id="1" /> because God has made it plain to them.

Now we know that God&#8217;s judgment is in accordance with truth<n id="1" /> against those who practice such things.

There will be<n id="1" /> affliction and distress on everyone<n id="2" /> who does evil, on the Jew first and also the Greek,<n id="3" />

but<n id="1" /> glory and honor and peace for everyone who does good, for the Jew first and also the Greek.

Now the law came in<n id="1" /> so that the transgression<n id="2" /> may increase, but where sin increased, grace multiplied all the more,

<p class="bodytext">Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its desires,

<p class="bodytext">So what benefit<n id="1" /> did you then reap<n id="2" /> from those things that you are now ashamed of? For the end of those things is death.

so that the righteous requirement of the law may be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.p> <p class="bodytext">

If the first portion<n id="1" /> of the dough offered is holy, then the whole batch is holy, and if the root is holy, so too are the branches.<n id="2" />p>
