They began to salute him: &#8220;Hail, king of the Jews!&#8221;<n id="1" />

The inscription<n id="1" /> of the charge against him read, &#8220;The king of the Jews.&#8221;

When some of the bystanders heard it they said, &#8220;Listen, he is calling for Elijah!&#8221;<n id="1" />

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;If anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a huge millstone<n id="1" /> tied around his neck and to be thrown into the sea.

<t /><p class="bodytext">Then<n id="1" /> they came to Jerusalem.<n id="2" /> Jesus<n id="3" /> entered the temple area<n id="4" /> and began to drive out those who were selling and buying in the temple courts.<n id="5" /> He turned over the tables of the money changers and the chairs of those selling doves,

And a voice came from heaven: &#8220;You are my one dear Son;<n id="1" /> in you I take great delight.&#8221;<n id="2" />

So<n id="1" /> the Pharisees<n id="2" /> went out immediately and began plotting with the Herodians,<n id="3" /> as to how they could assassinate<n id="4" /> him.p>

Just as Jesus<n id="1" /> was getting out of the boat, a man with an unclean spirit<n id="2" /> came from the tombs and met him.<n id="3" />

Those who had seen what had happened to the demon-possessed man reported it, and they also told about the pigs.

Then<n id="1" /> one of the synagogue rulers,<n id="2" /> named Jairus,<n id="3" /> came up, and when he saw Jesus,<n id="4" /> he fell at his feet.

Others said, &#8220;He is Elijah.&#8221; Others said, &#8220;He is a prophet, like one of the prophets from the past.&#8221;

And they saw that some of Jesus&#8217; disciples ate their bread with unclean hands, that is, unwashed.

For from within, out of the human heart, come evil ideas, sexual immorality, theft, murder,

Immediately he got into a boat with his disciples and went to the district of Dalmanutha.<n id="1" />p>

And Jesus<n id="1" /> ordered them,<n id="2" /> &#8220;Watch out! Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees<n id="3" /> and the yeast of Herod!&#8221;

Some people standing there said to them, &#8220;What are you doing, untying that colt?&#8221;

Many spread their cloaks on the road and others spread branches they had cut in the fields.

They<n id="1" /> devour widows&#8217; property,<n id="2" /> and as a show make long prayers. These men will receive a more severe punishment.&#8221;p>

<t /><p class="bodytext">Then<n id="1" /> Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went to the chief priests to betray Jesus into their hands.<n id="2" />

He said to them, &#8220;It is one of the twelve, one who dips his hand<n id="1" /> with me into the bowl.<n id="2" />
