Then Aaron is to present the sin offering bull which is for himself and is to make atonement on behalf of himself and his household.

and Aaron is to cast lots over the two goats,<n id="1" /> one lot for the <sc>Lordsc> and one lot for Azazel.<n id="2" />

Aaron must then present the goat which has been designated by lot for the <sc>Lordsc>,<n id="1" /> and he is to make it a sin offering,

<p class="bodytext">So<n id="1" /> Moses spoke these things<n id="2" /> to Aaron, his sons, and all the Israelites.p>

Then Moses said to Aaron and his sons, &#8220;Boil the meat at the entrance of the Meeting Tent, and there you are to eat it and the bread which is in the ordination offering basket, just as I have commanded,<n id="1" /> saying, &#8216;Aaron and his sons are to eat it,&#8217;

Then the sons of Aaron, the priests, must arrange the parts with the head and the suet<n id="1" /> on the wood that is in the fire on the altar.<n id="2" />

and must slaughter it on the north side of the altar before the <sc>Lordsc>, and the sons of Aaron, the priests, will splash its blood against the altar&#8217;s sides.

He must lay his hand on the head of his offering and slaughter it at the entrance of the Meeting Tent, and the sons of Aaron, the priests, must splash the blood against the altar&#8217;s sides.<n id="1" />

Then the sons of Aaron must offer it up in smoke on the altar atop the burnt offering that is on the wood in the fire as a gift of a soothing aroma to the <sc>Lordsc>.<n id="1" />p>

lay his hand on its head, and slaughter it before the Meeting Tent, and the sons of Aaron must splash its blood against the altar&#8217;s sides.

<t /><p class="bodytext">&#8220;&#8216;This is the law of the grain offering. The sons of Aaron are to present it<n id="1" /> before the <sc>Lordsc> in front of the altar,

Aaron and his sons are to eat what is left over from it. It must be eaten unleavened in a holy place; they are to eat it in the courtyard of the Meeting Tent.

Every male among the sons of Aaron may eat it. It is a perpetual allotted portion<n id="1" /> throughout your generations<n id="2" /> from the gifts of the <sc>Lordsc>. Anyone who touches these gifts<n id="3" /> must be holy.&#8217;&#8221;<n id="4" />p>

The one from Aaron&#8217;s sons who presents the blood of the peace offering and fat will have the right thigh as his share,

Moses also brought forward Aaron&#8217;s sons, clothed them with tunics, wrapped sashes around them,<n id="1" /> and wrapped headbands on them<n id="2" /> just as the <sc>Lordsc> had commanded Moses.p>

<t /><p class="bodytext">Then he brought near the sin offering bull<n id="1" /> and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the sin offering bull,

<p class="bodytext">Then he presented the second ram, the ram of ordination,<n id="1" /> and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the ram

and he slaughtered it.<n id="1" /> Moses then took some of its blood and put it on Aaron&#8217;s right earlobe,<n id="2" /> on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe<n id="3" /> of his right foot.

He then put all of them on the palms<n id="1" /> of Aaron and his sons, who waved<n id="2" /> them as a wave offering before the <sc>Lordsc>.<n id="3" />

and said to Aaron, &#8220;Take for yourself a bull calf for a sin offering and a ram for a burnt offering, both flawless, and present them before the <sc>Lordsc>.
