<p class="bodytext">Then Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said, &#8220;Go, sacrifice to your God within the land.&#8221;<n id="1" />

We must go<n id="1" /> on a three-day journey<n id="2" /> into the desert and sacrifice<n id="3" /> to the <sc>Lordsc> our God, just as he is telling us.&#8221;<n id="4" />p>

and the Israelites went away and did exactly as the <sc>Lordsc> had commanded Moses and Aaron.<n id="1" />p>

Also, take your flocks and your herds, just as you have requested, and leave. But bless me also.&#8221;<n id="1" />p>

But the Israelites walked on dry ground in the middle of the sea, the water forming a wall for them on their right and on their left.

<p class="bodytext">The <sc>Lordsc> said to Moses, &#8220;Go to the people and sanctify them<n id="1" /> today and tomorrow, and make them wash<n id="2" /> their clothes

When the sound of the horn grew louder and louder,<n id="1" /> Moses was speaking<n id="2" /> and God was answering him with a voice.<n id="3" />p>

<p class="bodytext">And Moses<n id="1" /> said to him, &#8220;If your presence does not go<n id="2" /> with us,<n id="3" /> do not take us up from here.<n id="4" />

<p class="bodytext">Then his sister said to Pharaoh&#8217;s daughter, &#8220;Shall I go and get<n id="1" /> a nursing woman<n id="2" /> for you from the Hebrews, so that she may nurse<n id="3" /> the child for you?&#8221;

Pharaoh&#8217;s daughter said to her, &#8220;Take this child<n id="1" /> and nurse him for me, and I will pay your<n id="2" /> wages.&#8221; So the woman took the child and nursed him.p>

<p class="bodytext">Moses said<n id="1" /> to God,<n id="2" /> &#8220;Who am I, that I should go<n id="3" /> to Pharaoh, or that I should bring the Israelites out of Egypt?&#8221;

The <sc>Lordsc> said to Moses in Midian, &#8220;Go back<n id="1" /> to Egypt, because all the men who were seeking your life are dead.&#8221;<n id="2" />

The king of Egypt said to them, &#8220;Moses and Aaron, why do you cause the people to refrain from their work?<n id="1" /> Return to your labor!&#8221;

&#8220;You must no longer<n id="1" /> give straw to the people for making bricks<n id="2" /> as before.<n id="3" /> Let them go<n id="4" /> and collect straw for themselves.

Go to Pharaoh in the morning when<n id="1" /> he goes out to the water. Position yourself<n id="2" /> to meet him by the edge of the Nile,<n id="3" /> and take<n id="4" /> in your hand the staff<n id="5" /> that was turned into a snake.

<p class="bodytext">Pharaoh said, &#8220;I will release you<n id="1" /> so that you may sacrifice<n id="2" /> to the <sc>Lordsc> your God in the desert. Only you must not go very far.<n id="3" /> Do<n id="4" /> pray for me.&#8221;p>

No!<n id="1" /> Go, you men<n id="2" /> only, and serve the <sc>Lordsc>, for that<n id="3" /> is what you want.&#8221;<n id="4" /> Then Moses and Aaron<n id="5" /> were driven<n id="6" /> out of Pharaoh&#8217;s presence.p>

Pharaoh said to him, &#8220;Go from me!<n id="1" /> Watch out for yourself! Do not appear before me again,<n id="2" /> for when<n id="3" /> you see my face you will die!&#8221;

<t /><n id="1" /><p class="bodytext">Then Moses led Israel to journey<n id="2" /> away from the Red Sea. They went out to the Desert of Shur, walked for three days<n id="3" /> into the desert, and found no water.
